I think I would probably fold preflop pre antes.

I like your tenacity on the flop but instead of shoving on the turn I think I would prefer a bf. I might even be done with the hand because he's nvr folding a K or fd. This is why I would pass this up pre. You open yourself up to tricky and often spewey spots post.

Also want to add that stacks make this a fold pre as well.

Thank you nonsimplesimon, I was trying to get a flush and on the turn I got extra outs, but your right its best to avoid such spots. I was shocked to see he called with A5, especially since we both were playing tight.

Yeah I think we are a bit too short stacked here to try to play a speculative hand out of position like this. It's just too tough to hit hands and too tough to get paid off with only 1 villian in the hand.

As played, I think you did alright. OTF, tough call between either flatting or maybe 3betting more. It's almost impossible for villian to fold a pair here when he is getting 1850-to-575(31.1%). His cbet seemed fairly small/weak, so I think a larger check-raise may have been better. If you wouldn't feel comfortable bloating the pot that large then perhaps just flat the small cbet and try to see the turn and river as cheaply as possible.

OTT, I feel like an open-shove overbet makes your hand a bit transparent and screams of a draw. That doesn't mean I would be calling with a single pair the way your villian did, but I can understand why he didn't want to fold. If you are willing to commit on the turn (which you did), then I would opt for leading out a standard raise size (around two-thirds the pot) and obviously calling if villian shoves.

When you flop as much equity as you do against a standard cbet from a stealing position player, there are man way to play the hand +EV. Your way was +EV, but there are defintely ways you could have played it a bit better.

I might just yolo shove the flop and let him make a mistake. You've got monster equity and it's awkward the times you raise big and he flats.

I wasn't paying attention to stacks as much as I should have when I replied the first time which is my bad but tbh I think this is the best option.

Fold pre. 25x is not deep enough to be playing 46s, especially oop. It's true that you're getting 3.5 to 1 to see a flop with a pretty hand, but the vast majority of the time you'll just be burning money and you can't afford that on a 25x stack.

As played, just shove flop. You have good equity against anything that isn't 7xhh, and you don't want to get flatted when you raise and give him one more card to make a decision. A lot of players at these stakes will just flat your raise and if the turn is anything but xh, they just never fold, which obv bodes terribly for our hand.

Yeah. Pre is def a fold (although not a one I make everytime, cause I am just a sucker when it becomes defending with sc). I'd just vamoooo and shove OTF. Let him worry if he wants to call it of or not.

We have just sooooooo much equity vs anything on the flop that increasing the amount of chips everytime is never a mistake.

I don't hate it as played.

Was thinking about this too. It can't be bad.

You do realize you also had a straight draw to go with your flush draw.
