There are 80 players left in the Carbon Poker $11 15K gtd re-entry tourney. 300 paid.
Hero has 190k on 8/16k 600
HJ raises to 32k with 300k behind. I have 67hh in the SB and decide to shove.
Not a lot of history on this guy other than that he was pretty regularly raising when folded to him in LP.
Like it? Don't like it? Why?
I thought these stack sizes were pretty good for a play like this. If he calls and loses to me that cripples him while I gain a lot from a double up and figure his calling range is fairly tight so I should scoop pf most of the time.
I figured his calling range to be like 77+ and AJo+ in this spot. Could be a little looser or even tighter. I am roughly 31% against this range.
wug? There is something to be said for aggression and me not really caring about anything other than a top 5 cash here...but I'd also like to hear from opinions if this weren't the case.

I'd ship here. I'd like to have some kind of read on him but you gotta work with what you have.

I'd prefer A3o > 67s, but either one is probably ok.

who is V? screen name?
seems fine if he had been opening a lot from LP.

it's just going to be a high variance spot if you take it.

More info would help here, as in other players stack sizes. In a perfect world, I'd be happier shoving 76s as opposed to A3o, but that's me.

vs a reasonable calling range we have 36% equity with 67s and w/A3o we have 33.3% equity. It's not just you! It's just a better hand.

One thing that comes to mind in this spot is what is hero's image? If we've been shoving recently in the past 2 orbits then that's not good for us. Also if we have a shorter-than-average stack vill may also suspect us of shoving light and therefor call lighter.
I like shoving this spot if our (and vill's) image is right. Since the hand relies so much on fold equity, I feel like it's a disaster if our shoving image is weak and vill calls with hands like QT/JT/A6/K9s/etc. Since we only have 7-high it would be ideal if vill folds many/all Qx/Kx/Jx/etc. but he may not do that if he accurately thinks we are shoving very wide here
