Villain is a very tight player who has watched too much wsop and takes forever to act on every turn. Never Have seen him get out of line and Have played many times with him.

Hero been playing tight as has been pretty card dead.

Hero has 50,000 chips or 17 bbs. Villain has around 120,000
Live tournament Blinds are 1500-3000 with 400 ante at a full table. We are 2 spots away from cashing.
Villain is utg+2 hero is BB.

Villain raises to 6500 folds around to me i call with 7,7 for 3500. Pot 17000

Flop comes 10 10 9 rainbow. Hero checks Villain checks.
Turn comes the 7. Hero leads for 7000 and Villain calls.
River is the 8 putting a 4 card straight on the board. Hero bets 20,000 into the 31000 pot and Villain raises allin. Hero has about 15000 left pot is 86000.
Having played with him alot his range raises in ep doesn't ever include 9 10. Maybe j10 suited. So I put him onAA- JJ, J10, 99, AK and the least unlikely 10 10. Can I ever fold here and should I have led the river? Him calling on the turn is pretty standard as he knows I'm firing any two cards when checked to me. I bet the river trying to get valu from the JJ J10 hands

Of course you should lead the river and why are you thinking of folding?

What's the mincash? And how many tables are left?

I'm probably just shoving pre. Rest of the hand is trivial GII

Was on the bubble. Cash was 235. My 7s were definitely way behind villains opening range freflop. No way I'm jamming pre here.

What's the buyin? Also tables left is important cuz it sounds like it's either a massive field or you're already on FT but hang cashed

Gotcha, I hate to get it picky with u but u say in the start of ur post u haven't played with him a lot, then at the start of your synopsis you say you have, and give him a super tight range?

The standard play being push. You don't have the price to set mine so if you're really sure you're crushed by his range then muck I guess

you are not repping that strong - he can easily be raising a straight here - and odds are smthing like 6:1
folding a boat with >2/3 of your chips in the middle would be just crazy.

I am confused, you have a boat and are beating a straight if I read that correctly. So I am not sure why you are scared.

Of course you're going to be beat here sometimes but with the range you apply then you cannot fold once you bet 20k and leave 15k behind.

That is the most results-orientated thing I have ever heard.
