button play live tourney with rebuys

havnt played live in a while but gonna go out to play an 11 dollar tourney with 2 rebuys at the local club tonight. Ive done well in this tournament before won it once came 2nd once.

After that ramble my question is should i be limping more buttons, lots of calling stations at these things. When you raise likely to get three or four callers, hands id normally raise like k-x suited, or a-x suited, small pairs is it better to limp these hands early or just play them normally, obv when its later and the blinds are big im either raising or folding. Sorry if that was a bit vague but any thoughts would be good.

id limp behind with hands that flop well.

in terms of opening, just raise bigger to lower the number of callers

Re: button play live tourney with rebuys

yeah good advice man I busted about two hours in had one big hand, made a bad call I was BB flop was 8d 7d 2x, i had a7 this lady ive played with before bets 1/3 pot, Called when a brick hit the turn, 8 comes one the river she bet about 1/3 of the pot again, is this ever a fold on the river?,

or should i just muck the flop I know shes capable of betting a draw dont mind my flop call but my river call was bad as theis player dosnt bluff much. In general against an unknowns opponent is the play ok?

new to this forum guys so let me know if I can ask better questions thanks

Difficult to analyze this hand without more info. Best to include your stack size, her stack size, her position, did she raise pre? Were there any other callers? Her image, your image, how many players left. Add that info and format it better (see other posts) and you'll get more and better responses.

Similar stack sizes blinds wer 50/100 we both had around 5k to start, shes a loose player plays lots of hands preflop from most positions, does generally bet draws, but the more i think about it the more i think she wouldnt 3 barrell so it was a bad call, I couldve bet the turn maybe?, my image is loose agressive at the time been raising a fair bit got caught bluffing hence why i just called, fairly early on in the tournament too dont think anyone had busted yet
