Villain just sat down at my table, didn't really have any info on him.

Hero has about 50BB on CO with KK
Villain has about 40BB on BU

Folds to Hero who raises to 3BB
Villain calls
Everyone else folds

Pot: +- 10BB
Flop: Q74
Hero bets 7BB
Villain calls

Pot: +- 24BB
Turn: J
Hero checks
Villain bets 15BB
Hero ?

Do I check this turn?
What do I do as played when villain bets large on the turn?

I folded assuming it was unlikely for villain to be bluffing here.

Our line here on this board after opening should be cbet flop, bet turn so that we can size up a river jam, and bomb river (as long as the board doesn't get dicier).

As played, I think we should probably jam, but if villain has shown a tendency to fire off then we can call and call almost all rivers.

The problem with checking turn here is that we're giving so many hands a chance to catch up.

As for hands that villain can have that we beat:
Heart draws, SDs (mainly 65s, but also low gut shots and maybe AT sorts of hands), AQ/KQ(although unlikely given card removal)/QT/Q9, random bluffs that floated flop (very small % imo).

So yeah, we beat heaps here.

With SPR of 4 on the flop happy to commit with an overpair. Just bet bet bet - should not be checking and thinking about what to do but as played xrai.
