Do we think I should be leading out on the river here, or check-raising, and letting him bet with his value 2-pair hands/air? At the time I thought to lead the river is playing my hand very face-up, and he has very few hands which would be calling a bet on the end, and more combinations of hands which would be betting the river (meaning I could extract more value).
. if i dont raise turn i lead river for sure... he will x back probably everything that aint Q and that is pretty miserable part of his range... i would probably make it like 40% OTR.
u re missing a lot of value when checking river.. he has a lot more hands that will call your river lead but will x back 100% of the time
Lead river absolutely, the Q coming can make villain think you're less likely to have one and he'll call wider, with lots of pairs etc. He's also less likely to bet the river for the chance that you do have a Q. I think a healthy bet of around 1100 is pretty likely to get a call..
Cheers guys. yeh at the time I really wasn't sure about raising the turn and taking control of the betting (and leading the river), or to check-call, and check-raise 5th street. I can definitely see how leading the river is going to be more profitable now.
Problem with not leading here is if V decides to bet big on this river, you have no idea where you are as both a flush and a boat are well in range. I think a value bet on this river serves the dual purpose of a blocking bet.

If you raise trun what worse hands are calling you and what better are folding?
