Already in the money, with about 400 players left. This guys stats were something like 32 - 12 - 70 and i took him as a bit of a gambler

was this the correct play to jam AKo and stop him in his tracks? or did I have too much back (37k after 3bet) and should have checked it back or small raise? will post results after some replies

some reads/stats on villain would be helpful.

I see a few bad plays here. your preflop size is way too big. you basically committed yourself to the pot with that size, ~ 9k is enough. Also V has opened 3X from EP so without reads this should be assigned a strong range and once he called your 3bet, he at least has a pocket pair nines or better. Those aren't folding on a JJ2r flop.

Yeah I'd def go smaller pre, probs make it something like 11,000 and then just Cbet the flop (but defs don't shove). As played I'm not a huge fan of an shove on the flop - I'd probs check back as played here. I think more equity would be nicer to shove in the exact situation you had - especially if you think villain is going to call off lighter than most.

oops I did not see you already posted stats.
32/12/70

If this is over a decent sample size, take a look at a 12% range (66+/ATo+/A7s+/KTs+/KQo)

once you 3bet that big and he flats, I think we can narrow that range down a bit but not too much vs this V, to maybe something like 66+/ATs+/AJo+/KQs/KQo

what part of it folds on this flop. the part that folds is the part you beat and actually want calls from.

Don't mind sizing at all vs described villain.
I'd probably bet small to induce on the flop tho

I'd make it 10.5k-11k pre , but against this opponent raising it more is fine as played.

IMHO i would of jammed flop too , since you've just about committed yourself now.

Thanks for your replies.

Total Pot: T111,763
UTG+1 shows Qd Qs (two pair, Queens and Jacks)
Hero shows Ad Kc (a pair of Jacks)

UTG+1 wins T111,763

Honestly didn't put him on such strong hand, thought he would have 4 bet if he had anything this strong, especially since he was so aggressive

@45bb effective , Villain should really be 4-bet shoving or folding (Especially with your sizing) he's got no room to flat. so depending on your image and how he perceives you and what he thinks your 3-bet range is he really should be GII or folding.

I would b/f flop like 14K to (maybe) induce wider shoves from villain.

32/12 stats are not aggressive stats.

Just flatting pre has some merit.

But being in mp I'd just 3b less. I think 3b'ing with that sizing just keeps him in with a stronge range.

You could flat pre too. Flatting is prob best here since we can use our position and he's passive. 32/anything 3x's early it's not garbage usually cause they'd be limping it normally.

3b is way too big too.
