99 vs cold 4bet otf - 1$ FT bubble

10 left from 1k.

BB: 47/32/5/33 (22 hands)
BTN: 32/14/0.7/0 (22 hands)

[converted_hand][hand_history]Poker Stars, $1 Buy-in (4,000/8,000 blinds, 1,000 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 5 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite. View Hand #13392902

CO: 434,709 (54.3 bb)
BTN: 342,693 (42.8 bb)
SB: 219,114 (27.4 bb)
BB: 226,362 (28.3 bb)
Hero (MP): 246,223 (30.8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP with 9 9
Hero raises to 16,000, CO calls 16,000, 2 folds, BB calls 8,000

Flop: (57,000) 4 7 4 (3 players)
BB bets 16,000, Hero raises to 40,000, CO raises to 100,000, BB calls 84,000, Hero ?

Any thoughts on 4bettor's range? Seems nitted at first but could maybe have some scared pairs.

BB's range is mostly full of draws imo.

Thanks.

That be a 3bet.
Raise flop bigger, fold to 3b, it's very nutted. I'd give him A4s/77/QQ+ unless you have retard reads

Can 't we put villain on very good FD here?

Even with flush draws in his range we are still behind. Villain was very loose passive which makes his range even more nutted.

Spazzing is possible but no reads on that.

You beat only 88 and spazzing with a 7 from the 3 bettor. Fold and make a note.

not folding at cheeseburger stakes with 30BB.
look at their stats, even tho the samplesize is small its clear that they click buttons randomly alot.

think this is close really comes down to a read on ur opponents. I don't normally play 1 dollar level but the times I have I've seen people 3 bet the flop here with a lot worse than 99. The chances of someone having QQ+ are reduced being 5 handed.

I'm having trouble putting him on something you beat besides FD. Is the equity right against a FD and everything else that pwnz you?

Re: 99 vs cold 4bet otf - 1$ FT bubble

Tbh I am more worried about the donk bet from SB than the 3bet from CO. Seems like SB is trying to induce.
Or prob he is just really bad and has no idea to play AK. Anyhow, I think flatting his donk bet is better than raising cause we get to keep the pot small, let them keep bluffing, can laydown on further streets because of not being committed or even call down all streets because of pot being small, depending on board obv. Also, gives CO room to spaz OTF. IF we just call flop, and CO spazzes we have more reason to snap call because of under-repping our hand.

I dont think we can term BB as a clueless player, because even good regs will have such LAGy stats (and its just 22 hands) near the FT bubble .

But since we raised here and got 3bet AND suspicious BB flatted, I think we can let this go. If BB had folded here, I get it in.

I honestly think BB has 77 here.

I like flatting flop bet but I suppose it's a bit too passive against a loose passive guy.
I would raise a bit larger 50k~. And this situation sucks, as played I'm out.
