Hi I assumed villain was a fish, was quite shocked to see he had played 7000 games and was up 12.5K. He was doing a lot of bad things like limping pre, flatting out of pos in small blind with hands he shud be 3 betting etc. Not many bluff combos here.

You painted a picture of a very passive player who x/raises a rainbow flop that nails a limp-calling range. Red alert!

does that mean you only want to stack off otf with AA,KK and sets?

It's one of those spots where folding seems really weak but you know you're beaten. He's a passive player who has basically min x/r on a 982 rainbow flop after limp-calling pre. If there is a situation that screams set, this is it. Do you think there is any chance he's doing this with hands like JT/TT/77?

i dont know and i dont rly bother to find out. the reason is that if we want to deviate from a somewhat std approach (getting it in with close to the top of our range) we should have very very very precise reads/hands/data on someone. folding QQ here otf is a massive adjustment thats going to lose in the long run almost certainly cause it lets us play a guessing game thats not rly based on a fundamentally sound mathematical approach. like for instance, if this was a live tournament and villain was 80 years old, playing super nitty etc i guess you could make a case for not getting it in. however a small stakes online mtt where we have such limited info on our opponent usually isnt the setting to make such a drastic adjustment. he could be overvalueing tp/TT/JJ, could be bluffing, tough to figure out, so id rather want to figure out how high up in my range i am.

when there is 14.5k in the middle and we have 16.5k behind I don't mind 3b allin otf after we get x/r. He shouldn't have many 2p combos, we are only really worried about sets. I can see people x/r draws and top and second here sometimes.

As played that is one of the nut worst run outs. Both top pair and oesd get there, river could possibly be a fold

Thanks all. Yeah I shud have just got it in on the flop. The limp call then reraise on the flop just looked super suspicious.
