Hate the minraise with the limper. I'd rather put in a big raise to isolate him and take control. I'd go to 4x.

Flop: why are you x/calling there? It's a 4-way pot on a wet flop and you have 3rd pair with a couple of backdoor draws. That ain't worth a whole lot. And, as you've discovered, even if you hit a set you won't feel too good with a 9 completing two straights.

Yeah def bigger pre if you want to raise, blinds this small and this being 3.30$ tournament I'd go like 5 BBs probably. That being said, I actually don't hate limping here. Even if we go bigger, getting pots HU at these stakes is pretty difficult. If the pot goes limped like 4-5 ways, it's not too bad for us this deep: we have opponents, who are very likely to make big postflop mistakes and if we hit a set we can get handsomely paid most of the time. On a bigger buy-in tourney I would def raise to iso though.

Flop is textbook fold.

Yeah, when I looked on this hand today I totally agree with you that I shouldn't cal the flop bet.

But with 4x pre. I really don't know. On this buy in and in this stage of the tournament I really feel like it doesn't mater if the raise would be 3x, 4x or even 5x, anyway you will finish in multi way pot. To really reduce number of players in the pot you have to probably rise like 10x. (Quite big investment with only 99).Obviously fold pre is not an option. Limp? I hate limping.

I wish to have bankroll big enough to play the limits where at list part of strategies written in poker books works how it suppose to work

The point of raising to 4 or 5x when everyone is deep and you have a limper in the pot is to give everyone else behind you a big price to call so you can try and get into a Heads Up pot against the limper who likely has a weak range and is presumably a weak player.
