Even if 3 bet I'm never folded if BTN went back over the top but when big blind shoves you think you should never fold here really? He was a very active player in the 20 hands he played at the table but damn what a cooler late in the tournament please explain thanks a lot greatly appreciated!
This. You did nothing wrong, anything but shoving here is pretty bad if you ask me. Welcome to tournament poker, please enjoy the variance during your stay.
AJ and AQ seem to be my number one exit hands along with 77-JJ. I only jam with them if down to about 15bbs. And the villain either has AK or AQ or a pocket pair.
shoving is ALWAYS fine but maybe not the most optimal. this is where reads, gameflow, image, etc come into play....how would you play your best hands here? does the button flat your 3bet and then call if he catches any part of flop?
if your opponents are not going to make your life hard, then 3betting with the intention of folding to any more preflop raising is just fine.
