My comments (I've put as a spoiler because they indicate what action I took, in case anyone wants to give feedback without knowing what I did):
Spoiler:
Hand one feels like the stack sizes are just enough that I don't quite like getting it in there, or is this too exploitable of a line to take?
Folding to such a small bet in hand 2 could be stupid but it felt like I could only shove/ fold there and that when I shove I'm not getting called by worse often enough. Maybe the biggest mistake was preflop but again that feels like an awkward spot itself
H2 don't 4bet.
A) most importantly you put SB in a position where he folds loads of worse hands and continues with better given he knows he has to play OOP for the rest of the hand.
2) SB 5 bet jams, H ???
iii) you're IP and giving yourself less playability by lowering SPR
Cuatro) by flatting you give BTN a chance to jam worse hands
First hand I wouldn't 3bet if you plan to fold to the 4bet. Against a super tight range of QQ+, AK we have 36% and most villains aren't this tight, definitely people will shove 10's and 99's here some frequency to avoid awkward spots postflop, so if you're 3-betting (which I would do as well) I think you should call it off unless you know he's a huge nit.
Second hand I don't mind the 4bet, we're ahead of both their ranges by a pretty decent margin, and this will secure that the pot goes headsup most of the time which is a good thing with JJ. Also if you get 5-bet I think you can pretty comfortably fold, only flipping against AK then I guess unless villain is really aggro. I'd also def call a flop bet for that sizing. Fold most turns if he bets again.
Hand 1 I don't 3b. You close the action and can keep your hand disguised by calling, and not have to deal with folding to a 4b. JJ never stacks up well in a 4b pot like this.
Hand 2 the problem is stack size. I don't mind a 4b in that spot but I would want to make a bigger 4b to avoid giving SB odds to take a shot. I wouldn't mind just taking it down right there. But with your stack size you'd be putting in 1/3 of your stack with a properly-sized 4b. For that reason I just call and play it from there.
Hand 1, good 3 bet vs lagy because u are oop and i like the sizing to, but fold to 4 bet , you beat only 10-10 and 99 and u are a dog vs QQ, KK , AA, and flipping vs ak, i dont think he is shoving here with A-Q, and i think you are only a big dog or a small favorite.
Hand 2. What are ur reads vs button player? if he is a tight player i dont like much calling and 3 beting all in and im inclined to fold. But if the button opens a lot or average from the button it s a easy shove spot imo
Thanks for the feedback all - some good perspectives
Just to add further comment on the second hand, the SB stats (VPIP: 41, PFR: 25, 3B: 36, AF: 1.1, Hands: 32) and his play up to that point had me wanting to isolate against him, without jamming and scaring him off when he's way behind. Granted it's a small sample to rely on but I felt I'd seen enough to adjust my play with some confidence
On reflection, the line I took left me with too shallow a stack to properly play unfavourable flops (as it turned out), and probably didn't make too much difference in terms of what range he was continuing with as opposed to his continuing range vs a shove.
I think against most opponents I'm preferring to just get it in rather than try to isolate against what I was viewing as a weak opponent, with the stack sizes (30bb effective with 9bb in pot by time it reaches me) being the determining factor vs flatting. If deeper stacks flatting may be more attractive.
