Hi, I don't play much mtt's, so I'm not sure about my shove in this hand.

Final Table-7 players left Blinds 60k/30k with a 7.5k ante

I'm in the small blind with 500k, I'm the shortest stack. The other shorter stack has 900k-ish while the other players all have more than 1.2Mil and there are 2 players with 2.5Mil

Big blind has 1.3M and it's a fish who I think is capable of calling a shove light.

Payouts:
1st 2.3K
2nd 1.6K
3rd 1.2K
4th 900
5th 640
6th 440
7th 340

Folded to me in the sb, is it correct to shove atc in this spot? If I fold I have 470k .

Hey Simone,

Not quite atc, but certainly a large proportion of hands. As you're last in chips you need to be stealing in these spots often. I'd probably go with around 75% of hands. You have enough chips to do significant damage to the bb stack, so dependant on their style they shouldn't be calling too wide. (Based on your assumption they are a "fish", they won't be calling correctly).

If they are on the tighter side you can shove wider, if they are looser you should shove a little tighter, but still +65%.

Yeah I shoved T5o, maybe I should have folded against this particular opponent, but maybe ok vs most tight players. Thank you.

If you think BB will call lighter you have to tighten up your shoving range. I'd probably scale it back to like 50% and T5o falls well outside that range. Even though you're the shortest stack, you're not actually too shortstacked - you still have 17bb.

If I fold I have less than 8bb! But you're right, I should've folded anyway.

Geez, I didn't notice how massive the ante is!
But still...

Yeah so T5o is a little wide. You can study (or at least look into) your shoving ranges per amount of bb, to get a better understanding.

There is a pretty good app available called SnapShove. It's about $15 I think but it's worth it imo. It will tell you optimal calling and shoving ranges based on player position and number of big blinds. Of course you just have to adjust slightly based on player tendencies! Gl
