$11 another ft icm spot

mtt ft

big stack is bullying although one 2 orbits in the table, his sizing makes me think he hasn't got anything very good.

stack sizes and opinions with my hand? 3bet is very and i don't wanna get flatted (he is a flatter) so...allin or fold?

Depends on payouts but CO going to have to r/f a **** of a lot to make it +$EV (icm disaster getting it all in vs big stack when your comfortably 3rd in chips) .

Will obv be +EV.

Annoying fold perhaps but shoveling cant be bad.

i must start thinking more about icm yes...but i thought who raises 6x qq+ in an ft with so many reshoving stacks so im obv ahead...but idk about icm i usually dont think about it a lot (bad bad thing) but this seems so marginal.

Re: $11 another ft icm spot

Yeah you're almost definitely ahead as it's pretty much never 1010+, probly 22-66 or some random suited A, K or other marginal hand but it is still an ICM disaster given short stacks and 3 still to act. I'd prob shove something like JJ+/AQs/AK in this situation, and even then it's probly wrong to ICM.

Last edited by badhabit; 02-09-2012 at 05:08 PM. Reason: changed end as my range is probly still ICM mistake, but its just so hard to fold JJ or AK when you know its bs

His raise is a bit big (4x) but since you got that sizing read, shove is good here for me. you can't flat (no setmine odds) and you can't 3b and fold later with that stack.

I've just put this into SNGWiz - I've had to use the 180 man payouts as I don't know what they are for this particular MTT. Without putting in ranges SNGWiz says KK+. When I change villains opening range to 3-22.5% and calling 3-17% it suggests JJ+. If we think he's calling a little tighter say 3-10% then it says TT+. He would have to be opening very wide and calling quite tight for 99 to be a shove here. I'm shoving JJ+ and definitely not AK.

I forgot this was a FT. So yes we want to be a bit tighter here since there are two shortacks. I still think that it's a close fold though.

3bet small, let him spazz and ship the tourney.
When you double up you can bully him by 3betting alot and if he starts to tighten up just run over the table. nh gg.

I'd just fold without knowing we have FE here

Re: $11 another ft icm spot

I'm not sure I could fold, but who am I. These raises smell of AK, 22 - 88(maybe), therefore we are well ahead. Dave summed it up well, but I am curious to see more what others think in this spot.. ICM vs getting it in good going for the win ? There is still a chance we get a fold at this buy in as well (reads help here). Good post snow.

I like flatting. Note the BTN/SB stack sizes. One of 'em goes OTT, array of options opens up.

Snapfold ICM wise if you don't have much FE.

My post was based on the top 2.9% of hands being taken out, so I think I've already done what you're after. Let me know.
