I think shoving is the worst thing from the options(shove,3bet,call). My reasons are because shoving will get a call from hands like TT+ and prob AQ+.
Wheter you should 3bet or call depends on the players previous stats-history.
If he was more aggresive, betting too much with TP then calling is fine, If he was more unpredictive(fish wise) 3bet is fine.

shoving is not the worse option , shoving is actually good , AK will have a lot of equity vs v raise/calling range. Plus it's not like we're 100bb deep , we're just over 30bb effective.
Obv it depends on your opponent as well , table dynamics , your opponents tendencies, effective stacks.
Anyhow lets just say v is a tightest nit and you have significant reads on them then yeah you may flat because if hero 3-bet shoves, v range r/c may only consist of KK+ obv then we're in terrible shape.
In this situation here though , it would be standard to shove and i would not consider it the worse option either! lol
