I would guess both of these issues are due to how the software is written. I'm guessing the software is generally written for more than a 5 person tourney. Often times when you get heads up it changes the "criteria" of the software, hence the button is placed in a new fashion and whatnot. Perhaps this is messing up the ability to rebuy

This is not a glitch. Once the add on period begins you may no longer rebuy, you may only add on. All rebuys need to be done before the add on period starts
