I hope I'm in the right place... I'm actually looking for advice, party poker robbed me of over 3K and closed my account down. About a month ago I made a nice score and submitted a withdrawal request for the cage at Borgata. Long story short, party poker said I violated their terms and conditions(WHICH I DID NOT) and they ceased my funds, around $3,200. Its been a month that I'm without my money. So I'm pretty much here looking for legal advice. I want to take this to small claims court and I'm wondering if anyone has been in a situation like this before. They cant just steal my money.

Hi, as your account here is too new, I am not able to send you a private message. Due to privacy concerns I am not able to provide any details in regards to your account on a public forum. If you would like me to someone from our office contact you about this I can arrange that for you.

Thanks

look into njdge (nj division of gaming enforcement). you can file a complaint w them and they'll look into it. if party is in the wrong they'll get it rectified for you. just make sure u follow the protocol njdge has for filing complaints. they wont pay attention to your case if u dont follow all of their steps first.

of course the lawyer thing might help too. but i dont know. all i know is njdge is in charge of policing the operators and making sure they dont do anything crooked. that doesnt mean they are actively investigating the sites other than doing routine fairness tests of the software. (unless somebody reports something)

ps -you need like 15 posts to be able to get/send private messages from anybody on here

Thanks SlotJockey, I will follow up with them. Your post was very helpful to me. And I have spoken with representatives from party poker which just ends in the same generic unhelpful conversation. I would like to get this matter resolved without a lawyer if possible.

your welcome. before filing with njdge they gonna want u to file a formal complaint with party. (as per their site) that email is

formalcomplaint.nj@partypoker.com (its on party's site buried)

njdge site:

http://www.nj.gov/oag/ge/inquiriespatroncomplaints.html

good luck to you

You cheated and got caught..Suck it up buttercup. Look at the positive, if you got caught in a brick and mortar cheating you would definitely need counsel.

It's no wonder that NJ poker revenue is declining.
