Does anyone know how to get these to stop popping up? They don't even close sometimes. Id appreciate help, because they are making it difficult for me to even see the cards

You can't get rid of them. All you can do is make the image transparent so that it isn't as obtrusive.

huge part of why i stopped playing on borgata. Every so often these pop ups cause my client to stop responding and I have to end task through task manager and reopen the whole program

This is absolutely absurd that there is no option to turn off these ads. This is an issue I have been complaining about since day 1. The simple fact is that when you are multitabling more than 6 tables, the tables become such a size that the ads literally obscure your view of the face up cards. When the tables are that small its very difficult and time consuming to find the little "x" on the ad and close it. Also, yesterday when mt 7-8 tables, there were ads on top of ads (two ads for different tournaments coming up at the same time). This led to an a situation in which the ads did not disappear after about 10 seconds as they normally would and instead just remained on the tables where not even clicking the "x" would close them. I literally had to close the table and reopen it in order to remove the ads. Also, getting ads for a tournament which you are already playing in is similarly absurd. I know for a fact that there is the option on the international software to prevent these ads from appearing as I used to play on PP before black friday and ran into the same issue. I also know that many other players have expressed similar distaste for the lack of ability to turn off these ads. We should be able to play without the constant distraction, annoyance, and even sometimes game state compromising advertisements. I strongly urge PP to address this issue. - Unifro

I think they took some feedback. You still can't turn them off but they seem to be popping up much less often tonight.

They just popped up and caused my client to crash midhand. Fortunately, I was able to relog before getting disconnected from the large pot I was in, but my cards were invisible. This is completely unacceptable. There needs to be a way to disable these popups.

To make matters worse, these "disconnected" hands won't save to my computer and Party/Borgata has a policy where I can't request my hands until 30 days have passed.

Does anyone have a fix for this? Whenever the tournament popups come up, if I click anywhere near it, the client completely crashes and I have to close out and reopen everything. I've had the same issue on multiple computers. It's frustrating enough that these obnoxious popups block half the tables, but the fact that I can't even X out of them (for fear of crashing the client) and have to just sit and wait for them to expire is ridiculous.

I was going to make a separate post about this.

I have noticed these client crashes (where everything freezes.) But I did not think they were due to trying to close the pop-ups. Maybe I did it accidentally and never noticed. But yes, this is a huge problem and I know of no fix. Sometimes even task manager doesn't work to close the app, so by the time I get it all closed and restarted I have obviously been timed out of every hand.

The fix is in the first reply, if you change the background of the table to black you won't see them at all, there is no crashing either way.
