I am still upset about having my previously earned promotional tournament tickets unilaterally "expired". Now another promotional ticket is in jeopardy.

I managed to earn a coveted Step 5 ticket ($500 buy-in). After winning the Step 4 S-N-G I found the ticket was not in my list so I asked CS what happened. They told me to check my inactive list. Sure enough it was in the same location all 16 of my previously earned, but stolen tickets resided before they were removed. There were no posted Step 5 tournaments and hadn't been for quite some time. Ask them when the next one would be scheduled and of course the answer was - we will refer this to the appropriate department. A week later, having not heard back I sent an email message instead of using the live chat, guaranteeing a paper trail if one can call it that. I received a response saying once again that they would refer it to another group. After a week or so, I had not received a response, but action was taken. The Step 0 tournaments that were active since I started playing in June and where I started my journey to Step 5 were suddenly ended with no explanation. Keep in mind that only the Step 0 was a free-role. It was possible to join the Steps at any point with a buy-in as low as $1 and presumably some people paid actual cash to participate in what appears now to be a ponzi tournament with no payout. I now fully expect to have my $500 tournament ticket disappear like all the other ones. If they don't want to run the tournament they should at least convert them to tournament dollars.

Thank you for taking an interest in this issue. The STEP 5 ticket has been converted to tournament dollars which I consider a favorable outcome. Thanks for any efforts you made in bringing this situation to the attention of Party management.

What is the standard policy in this situation?

I have heard that Level 4 tickets have also been converted on a case by case basis.

Is it possible to establish some kind of guideline? Like many people, I have tickets of various levels. Are they going to convert all the tickets when these steps stop running?

Just had a step 4 converted to tournament $'s. Just asked in live chat and got an email about a week or so later saying I could get various GSS tickets or $100 tournament $'s.

These are being dealt with on a player by player basis while our Steps program is under consideration
Please contact the CS team should you feel you would prefer your current tickets to be converted to T$ -- however for now this may only be applicable to the higher value steps
Of course should we change the program players tickets will be exchanged for similar value tickets
I have no ETA for a final decision on this
