Now this is something worth highlighting.
If management appears to distance themselves from their customer base, for whatever reason, it should be a warning sign of perhaps a more serious set of issues unbeknownst to the majority of the player base at this time.
Unfortunately, this is not unique to any one provider and won't necessarily be resolved with the introduction of new competitors to the space. If anything, this may further segment the market and create an entirely new set of problems.
In order for online poker to thrive in a market with limited growth potential both the companies and the players need to reevaluate expectations and adapt to the ever changing landscape. It has been 2 years or so, and we as players need to realize the impetus for advancement and growth just may not exist at this time. The poker ecosystem in NJ is what it is , and will likely remain as such for the near-future. With that being said, perhaps we need to embrace the limitations, to a degree, and allow the process to run it's course.
An increased social media presence will only help grow the market. Despite the fact I am not a Facebook user I hope this group takes off and introduces regulated NJ online poker to some new players.
