that pretty much explains why. your lucky your company didnt frown upon you logging into a gambling site on company computer.

from their perspective after that i cant blame them for the ban. if it was an honest mistake im sorry for your loss but i am gratefull for once to hear that their cs reps might have actually done their jobs in watching out and protecting the integrity of the tables

After speaking with the rep they told me my account was closed and my funds would be sent to me. I then reopened another account (azarm2387) assuming that would be ok....i was able to play with the funds that were given to me as part of a signup but as soon as i tried to deposit any money into my account it would not go through. They are now closing that account based on my other account. Is it fair that i receive a life time ban because of one mistake i made? I feel like they are treating me like a criminal for a mistake....i didnt try to defraud or steal from them...i simply logged in out of state which i now know was wrong. Ive waited years for nj to legalize poker and now im banned from the best site in the state for unknowingly making a mistake. I just want a second chance to play from the comfort of my own home. I have offerred to provide my license and proof of address but they are just shutting me down as if im not a human being. I was one of the biggest supporters in legalizing online poker as i want to go pro eventually. Can someone help me?

is this a life time ban? i made one mistake....i wasn't trying to cheat or collude or nothing...just obsessed with poker...its a passion of mine.

Hi

I am afraid for financial transactions you need to contact CS directly. I am unable to help and would only escalate to the same teams which have made a decision and replied.
Sorry.
I would suggest you send a detailed email to CS support and ask for a manager to review however, I cant see them reversing the decision.

Kind regards,

Colette

So if I'm computing you correctly , & I have the ability to do so from anywhere on the universe , which I'm truly "grateful" for; the gentleman makes an honest mistake & you are "grateful" he recieves the axe?

I'm only one mind , but perhaps you should try to wish on others as you wish on yourself. This man happened to be the goat for all of us & I'm willing to propose if you were our goat you would be full of "poor me poor me". Thus, be careful for what your "grateful" for.

I dont know what message pops up when logging in from other states. But I am sure its the same one we get when we have a geolocation issues. Once you are in that position, I believe you are still able to view your account balance and open tables..you just cant sit at the tables and play.

what im saying is chances are (even from his own admittance) they detected some IT software running in the background which if used in certain ways could be used to HACK/CHEAT and for that im gratefull they are looking out for.

Its my computer. I work from home often but i use a VPN to log into their location which is located in delaware. Im in the networking field for a company that other companies outsource their IT to. So we have tons of software that allows us to jump into different routers and servers all over the world. So sometimes i like to just log in poker sites and look around when my day slows down. That being said it didn't even occur to me that was the reason until one of my coworkers pointed it out that we have tons of software running in the background and their security team might have picked up on that.

Honestly it was a mistake...i didn't even want to play at that moment, i just wanted to check out the action.....i mean pokerstars is coming back to NJ so not all hope is lost for me as im sure they will take over the market because they run the best site period but it just sucks that no one will even hear me out....i can't even talk to someone on their security team so they can just hear me out.

i appreciate you understanding. I don't condone cheating, im not interested in it especially when playing poker i could use all the good karma i could get and what goes around comes around so trust me i have no motive to try and cheat or get over on the company and its players.

It was just a thoughtless mistake especially with that software running in the background....i didn't even think about it. i know the story sounds all to convenient but it's the truth

Hi

To be honest, I cant comment - its not really my area
I would like to think if you contact them and are honest about the situation and how it all came about - you can hopefully come to a resolution.

Maybe best to send a detailed email or give CS a call and ask to speak to a manager

Kind regards,

Colette

They didn't ban me for cheating. They banned me because i logged in from another state and it appeared that i was going to try and play. I am going to just give it time and try again......

Bottom line when logging in from another state or even in the legal state.......

Make sure u don't have software running in the background as it will look as if you are trying to play out of state....all i wanted to do was check my funds. At first i thought i got banned just for checking my funds but my coworker pointed out to me that if i logged in from my work pc chances are that's what got me flagged. in my field i have to VPN into my job when i work remotely to be able to access internal files and etc....i believe the VPN messed everything up for me.

one last thing....i was in delaware at the time which online poker is legal in....matter of fact DE and NEV just merged their player pools....i hope that they can all just merge and cut this nonsense out.
