so..first weekend of july and all the guarantees have been reduced...by alot...what gives?

daily 10k is now 7.5k for $100
daily 5k is 3k for $50
the 4k turbo is now 2k for $200 (really?)
the 1k super bounty is now $750
the 4k 6max for $75 is now 2k

and the 50k sunday for $200 is now the holiday 40k?

They have often reduced guarantees on big holiday weekends. And the WSOP ME is going on. Why should they run MTTs with massive overlay when they know not enough people will register?

a 4k turbo at $200 that has covered every time i been in it gets reduced to $1500...for $200 lol

everything costs the same..but the reduction in guaranteed $$ is too drastic..some regular games are not even running on a friday night due to lack of buy ins

A bit misleading that they announce this change AFTER forcing us to spend our Irps. The $100 ticket was advertised for the 10k guarantee, yet they knew they were slicing the guarantee down to 7.5k. I'm sure many people would have spent their points different if they knew the guarantee was 7.5k, and not the advertised 10k.

sadly yes legal robbery. anybody know if they raised the cost of things in the points store yet? they didnt say they were but my money has been on thats been coming for a while too

I don't really mind the lower GTDs on some of these things, particularly if they were overlaying, but yeah this was ridiculous. This tournament, whenvever it ran, passed the GTD prize pool.

When is the T15 for playing in the 40K last night supposed to hit?

Also, there was a poll about what to do during the summer months with regards to the 50K: up the buy in or lower the guarantee. I wonder if lower the guarantee won and the new guarantee will be here the rest of the month.

In the PLO $25 rebuy (with a 1k guarantee lol), with 20 entrants the pay SIX places. That is a bit much, even for someone who usually is fine with flatter and deeper pay out structures like me.

Everything's back to normal, the 4k turbo went off last night. Don't know why GTDs were lowered for a little, but at least they're back to normal now.

4th July weekend would have seen a decrease in the GTDs and schedule due to the holidays

a bit of a necro cause i forgot about this..but just want to point out that was super ****ty of you guys (and i dont mean u personally) to do...and by that i mean charging the SAME buy in for those mega reduced prize pools

Why?

if more people reg, then the prize pools will be bigger than the guarantees. We can't expect them to always have the same guarantee when there are not enough players on the site.

there is already a solution in place for that situation..if not enough ppl reg with 1 min to go in tourny it auto cancels

they had a $200 buy in for a $1500 prize pool....i mean really?

and some ppl schedule their time around certain poker days..maybe if i got an email saying they were reducing gtds i wouldn't have been so annoyed

for example im planning on doing a package for sept when i get my sat/sun/mon off..obv not gonna run it if they reduce the pools again on the sunday of labor day weekend...but i cant know that till that week gets here


anyway..it was almost a month ago so mods can close this thread if they want
