yea i would lean towards no but if they do a strict cancellation as to not have to do chip shares etc, i am hoping. was able to get one of these previously on americas card room bc of a situation like this despite having been eliminated already. flopped middle set lost to top set fml give me my money pleassssee lol

Re: GSSS Geolocation issues

the thing is if they cancel i dont think they can just keep the eliminated players money. that doesnt seem legit. i could see if they decided to do a chip chop but considering some people were taking blinds for a decent amount of time i am hoping they do a straight cancellation. they shouldnt be able to pocket the money of an eliminated player...but i could be wrong

the money goes in with the expectation that it will be won by another player. the site should in no case be able to profit from non-fee money in the tournament pool

i mean i may be grasping at straws bc i want free money lol but logically i cant see that as a possible outcome without some serious ethical questions being raised.

Re: GSSS Geolocation issues

The fairest way to do it is to payout (the full 175k w/ overlay) to the remaining players based on chip counts when the d/c happened. Players already eliminated aren't entitled to anything, they weren't effected.

99% sure this is how it will be done.

Re: GSSS Geolocation issues

If they cancel this tournament everyone should file a complaint with DGE, its so absurd for so many reason... Theres no way they balance out the money fairly... thats too complicated for them. They should be shut down and everyone should play WSOP and pokerstars.

Re: GSSS Geolocation issues

If they do end up restarting, it better be with stacks reverted to the state when the d/c happened, not after 15 minutes of a few guys stealing blinds. I don't think they can even do that with the software. It will be cancelled.

Re: GSSS Geolocation issues

truthfully i think the fairest/easiest thing to do is to just cancel completely. as if it never happened. refund all players even the ones who were eliminated. if the crash happened and affected everyone equally i would think the standard tourney cancellation rules might be acceptable but considering a few players were able to steal blinds for 20 mins i find those to be unfair.

take with grain of salt i am hoping for refund i was elminated in the main event tourney but in still alive in others and despite making more prob overall from the standard cancellation rules i dont see how someone can take massive blinds...one guy was in at my tables in 2 tourneys and collected a bunch of chips/equity from other players.

i dont think this is possible. too much work for them and i dont even know if the software allows chip adjustments from their end.

Your solution is not fair at all. I say that as someone with less than a starting stack left. It screws those who have big stacks. It also allows them to get out of paying the overlay. It also unfairly benefits those that had 0% equity left to the detriment of players that chipped up.

They should be able to look back and see what the stacks were right as the D/C happened and payout based on that.

if they were able to see chip stacks at time of issues i would think that would be the fairest way. not sure they care enough to do that as it would involve some leg work from them. like i said i am biased bc i want a refund for the main that i busted out of. i had set under set and deserve it .
