2 days ago, I created a borgata and party username. In both cases I was presented with the "we can't confirm that you're in New Jersey". I am using a laptop and wifi and my provider places my IP address within the state. I don't have any of banned programs.

Fast forward to yesterday... A buddy brings over his laptop fires up party and logs in and begins playing.

The only thing I can think of is the laptop I am using is old, like 7 years old (mainly use a desktop but don't have a wifi card) and his laptop was purchased 1 year ago.


Any suggestions on why this could be? Will just buy a wifi card for my desktop tomorrow if I can't figure it out.

After some thought, I do live in a rural area and on my laptop I do not have any other signals in range, while my buddy may have with his newer one. Think I will hit up Best Buy today and get a range extender and wifi card for my desktop and see if that helps.

Support was dumbfound but at least attempted to help. My issue was forwarded to the technical team, whatever that means, and I will get a response "as soon as possible"
