First of all I play on a mac, and this is what has been happening. My real issue isn't exactly with Geo-Location its more about random crashing.
I will be playing and at random times (about 6-8 times a night on average) I will scroll my mouse over a borgata tables during a session. There will be the apple "spinning wheel" indicating that the client is not responding. At this point, the client does not fix itself after a certain amount of time so I have to force quit the program. When i force quit the program, most of the time my hands get mucked but sometimes ill get lucky and have 1-5 seconds left to act. Sometimes when i force quit the borgata client and try to log back on, i have trouble geo-locating right away and end up seeing my hole cards but not being able to play them because im "not located". This delayed geo-locating only happens a quarter of the time tho.
Gags, i will definitely buy that adapter you recommended, thank you!
I play almost every night on Borgata/Wsop/888 and have no issues on there while using PT4 and only the Borgata client crashes like this. This past weekend I used my PartyPoker account instead of Borgata, and did everything i normally do, including using PT4 and the PartyPoker client never crashed even one time.
I have tried to uninstall/reinstall the Borgata client a few times and it still crashes (i went back to playing on my Borgata account today).
Just so we're clear: the adapter will not help with the crashing, but should help resolve any geolocation issues you may have. also, afaik you actually don't even have to connect to the wifi using this adapter, you just have to have the adapter plugged in so it can see the wifi networks. I do this on my desktop, I use a wired connection and then just plug this adapter in and let it search for networks all the time.
As for the crashing, definitely odd. I do know the Mac client isn't the, um, smoothest there is. Hopefully party support can help you further with that aspect
