Any of you guys having the troubles I was on FIOS? I deleted and figured I'd reinstall, but I can't get to the download. In fact, I can't get to anything on theborgata.com domain. But every other website works fine.

Second night in a row, Borgata software not allowing me to logon, the Borgata.com website is not responding. Prior to this the borgata site would stop working every hour or so ans I would have to shut it down, re logon. Better get this fixed soon, WSOP.com works fine, rock solid , and I have no doubt that Pokerstars will be stable when it arrives.
Funny, they are still sending me promotional emails to logon, play, earn bonuses, etc.

see my post above yours ... who's your internet provider?

I cannot log in at 8:05PM
I'm confident that support will tell me that the trouble is at my end so I won't bother contacting India. Nadish can go screw a cow. I don't want to hear their scripted responses.

It is strange though that this apparently is not happening to everyone.

I'm on FIOS and both the Borgata and Party softwares are basically unusable.

I am guessing this might have something to do with FIOS and not necessary Party/Borgata.

I can't log on either... party's only had, what, 15 years to get their software right?

What could this have to do with FIOS? I'm on FIOS as well

I am not an internet guy so would leave it to those who know how this stuff works. Assume it has something to do with FIOS connecting with at least certain theborgata.com domain pages/stuff.

I'm using Verizon too (not FIOS though) and can't log on. I'd click on the Borgata icon and nothing would happen so I uninstalled and then go to the Borgata site and the site is unresponsive.

I am on FIOS too. Maybe this is an IPS problem. I think tomorrow I'm going to switch over onto my comcast IPS and see if my connection is better. However, I would think that if Borgota.com as a hole is having an issue than either their IPS is also FIOS or they are having server problems like we have been saying. Hmmmm.

i can get to theborgata.com, just not the online poker or online casino sections of the site. It's bizarre.

I switched to my VZW hotspot and the pages loaded fine. Definitely appears to be FIOS related. I am chatting with them right now.

the problem appears to be anything in the domain poker.theborgata.com.

I just did the same and it worked as well... that's weird.
01-27-2015 , 10:56 PM
How do you switch to VZW hotspot?
01-27-2015 , 11:03 PM
using your phone for data... i'm not going to bother playing on it... if anyone gets in contact w verizon let us know the result please.

Ah I see, thanks.

Yeh, thanks for the advice. It works fine on the hot spot. Wish I knew that before blowing money in the Sunday tournaments.

I'm cutting and pasting this post, as it's relevant for the recent Verizon specific comments:

The Verizon FIOS issue is most likely to be a DNS server issue. It is not likely that this is the only issue that has been causing disconnections / crashes on the Party / Borgata network.

It's definitely a good thing if we can identify the cause of this problem for some people. But we shouldn't oversimplify this problem. Nor should we provide them another scape-goat when their general policy is to never take responsibility for any problem that occurs.

For the record, I have had issues on several different ISPs and on every laptop I have played on. I do not always play from the same location.

I am still chatting with Verizon. Was able to replicate the issue for them, showing that it does not work on FIOS but does work with another network connection. They are now contacting the "network team" to get involved.

The problem that we have been experiencing the past day or two is different from the ordinary Party/Borgata crashes. One in all likelihood has nothing to do with the other.
