Just saw this when logging on the Borgata site this morning.

Party Poker New Jersey FINALLY has realized they should have a local to head up the New Jersey online poker room. Hopefully someone knowledgeable and LOCAL will step up and take the opportunity ASAP. We have lacked this for a long time.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced online poker operations professional to join our team in Hoboken, New Jersey. As Poker Room Associate, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our world class poker rooms which will include: creating tournament schedules, working closely with our player marketing, promotions and affiliate teams to ensure our customers receive great promotional offers, competitor analysis to ensure we're always ahead of our game and responding to queries in our online forums and message boards.

Ideally you will already be working in a online poker business in a similar capacity, however we're able to consider someone with a real passion for (and knowledge of) poker who has work experience in operations, customer services or CRM. You will be passionate about the game, highly organized and will have a proven ability to conceive and drive new ideas for the poker rooms. You must already hold a US passport or green card to apply for this role.

They might have made it up gags. Its an entry level position and its possible they are realizing they are clueless and could use some actual experience.

Or maybe they hope by getting somebody here to take the heat, they will improve their marketing by giving players the impression they care about our concerns.

I doubt they are clueless, but are probably making business decisions that are directed from on-high and far removed from the realities we face on the ground.
