I got a PM from Party Rep asking for my phone number to talk things over with me... Presumably because I give about 95% of my play to other sites and I constantly bash them for the way they treat their treat their customers. I was going to send it to him, but there is really nothing for us to talk about. I do still play the occasional tourney there when there is a decent overlay, but there's really nothing he can say to me that will make me not bash them for of their failings (higher rake than other NJ sites/horrible customer service/lies regarding promotions like this etc..)

I urge everyone to move their play to the other NJ sites.

Yeah, because ****ty customer service, running promotions they don't fulfill and charging a higher rake than the other sites makes Party/Borgata the place to play in NJ!!!!

i play all my cash games elsewhere for less rake. lower the rake for cash and ill play there even with the ****ty software, glitches, and garbage Customer Service.

Atlantic City had a monopoly for a long time and has treated customers like garbage for a long time. When there was a slight downturn years back executives from the casinos met and the bigger casinos tried to get everyone else to agree to cut back on comps. I remember around 20 years ago a casino host at Trump Plaza telling me with a smirk, "We're notorious for being difficult to get comps at" like it was something to be proud of. That's the mentality of a monopoly. So why did anyone expect online poker to be any different? Because you like to play poker you think they'll change the way they've been for decades? The traffic has been declining steadily for 3 months or so since all the $10 - $50 signup bonuses evaporate and the novelty wears off for new players. Anybody that thinks this is a signal for Atlantic City to offer more to attract players isn't very familiar with the city's history regarding the gambling public.

Exactly, which is why we need to let the sites know we won't put up with it. Every site in NJ is flawed in one way or another. You have to decide what you're willing to put up with. I know I'm not the only one who put in a lot of play that they otherwise wouldn't have put in so that they could achieve the missions and earn the tickets to the larger freerolls. They generated a lot of rake in doing that and now they've reneged on their end of their the deal.

Cickaman calls me a tool for complaining about it... Who is the tool, the guy who gets ripped off and doesn't put up with it anymore, or the guy who gets ripped off and defends the thieves who did it, allowing them to do it to him over and over?

Stopped playing on the site for a bit. PP credited my account with a "$2.00 Daily $1000 GTD rebuy with big add-on". Kept trying to register for tourneys the past week or 2, but kept getting an error stating I had insufficient funds, do i want to deposit. Finally got somebody in the support, live chat spoke to promo team. Ticket is only worth $1, rep tells me. also tells me ticket should be good for a tourney that reg opens for in the a few hours, tourney #105006096. I look it up and it's a Turbo $1 NO GTD 1x rebuy 1x add-on. This site seems to do whatever the hell it wants.

Fyi, this is the same tourney ticket they give away in the nj.com freeroll that runs in a couple days.

Anupama: They say that the entry you won in the account is worth 1 USD and not 2 USD
craig: ok, when does that specific tourney run
craig: it says $2.00
Anupama: We request you to try and register for the tournament id: 105006096 - the registrations will open in another 4 hrs 18 mins
craig: ok
Anupama: Please try to register then and let us know in case you still face any problem
Anupama: I have left notes about this on your account
Anupama: Is there anything else I can help you with?
craig: no, ty
Anupama: Good luck and enjoy the games . Thank you. Take care bye
Anupama has exited the session.
You are the only user left in the session.

8p 1kg 2$r turbo big addon

update: tourney they told me to register for also didn't accept my ticket. spoke with live support again.

Stoyana: This was an issue on our end we are working to fix it and it is expected to be fixed for the new schedule that starts from 22nd May, sorry about the inconvenience caused.
Stoyana: Actually your entry will be converted into Tournament Dollars for now
Stoyana: but in the future if you win such entry you will be able to use it.

ended chat expecting to see the tourney dollars credited to my account, which was not the case. got live chat up again and they said it won't be instant, it'll take some time. ugh whatever.

Sent a PM to the Party Rep 4 days ago, and didn't get the courtesy of a reply yet.

I would guess Stoyana is located in Bulgaria or wherever Party/Borgata has its customer service? Thought they were supposed to be in NJ on May 1 and the International customer service was not able to access NJ players personal information, like Tournament Tickets.

I doubt tournament tickets are personal information. When I spoke to wherever it was outside the U.S. May 5 they said they didn't have my access to my password or answers to my security questions. They did verify my address and the last 4 digits of my SSN which would seem to be personal information.

The saga continues. Still haven't heard from the Party Rep, but did receive the email below that probably was sent to every one. Look familiar?

"Dear PALLADINN,
I am contacting you on behalf of NJ.PartyPoker.com

As a follow-up to your recent query, please note that we have received a reply from our Promotions Team. They confirmed that we won't be running giveaway tournaments anymore and that the last one was held on 05/15.

Please be advised that we will be running one main tournament for all the entries our players have, in the near future. The schedule, prize pool etc. will be updated soon and we will be able to give you more information then.

We would like to thank you for your suggestion and please rest assured that it is already forwarded to the concerned department.

In case you have further questions, we will be more than happy to assist you. We are available 24/7.

Thank you for choosing us as your online gaming site.

Best regards,
Geri,
Customer Service
Gamble Responsibly.
If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, call 1-800-GAMBLER."

So, this one does verify that they have stopped the daily "giveaway tournaments". We know they replaced them with the $25 and $25T hourly freerolls with a $50 and $50T thrown in for good measure.

Delay. Delay. Delay. The solution of "one main tournament for all the entries our players have" is going to be an interesting challenge. Of course, NO TIME has been established. The problem the Promotions Team faces is Inequality. Players are holding tickets on Both Sites. The number of tickets varies from one to MANY. What is a fair solution?

One Tournament to "use up" all the Tournament Tickets IMHO is too simple of a solution, and definitely not a fair ending for the time spent on the two sites to accumulate the Tournament Tickets. The Prize Pool must be significant and the odds of winning a portion of the Prize Pool must be acceptable. Tick. Tick Tick.
05-19-2014 , 10:35 AM
There should be some remuneration for tickets that are no longer useful (by no fault of the player). The giveaway tickets have an expiration date in 2022, not in May of 2014.

Of course, all of this points to PP/Borgata not getting enough bang for our buck (and not giving enough bang, either).
05-19-2014 , 03:33 PM
What an unbelievably shady company. @partyrep this us why I chose not to talk to you. The company you work for is a lying cheating piece of $hit and nothing you say can change that fact.
05-19-2014 , 06:05 PM
And they're still listing 'Giveaway' tournaments as rewards for missions and achievements.
05-19-2014 , 06:56 PM
this is a joke that this is still going on.

PP should just do the simplest thing. Keep your word and honor your commitments. Its really that simple.

1.just go back to what you were doing in dec and jan and run 2-4 2.5-5k freerolls a week. back in dec and jan I think I remember they ran a 10k free roll sunday. and at least 1 2.5 and 1 5k during the weekend.

2. Set a known beginning and end date for when these tiks can be used.

3. stop handing tiks out as a reward. or set a end date when tiks stop being handed out.

I have around 20 tiks so at 4 a week that would take about a month and a half for me to get what is owed/promised. oh wait nv mind I see theres a 50$ freeroll going on. we cool nowpp .. ima just play about 1200 of them to equal the total quarantees for the 2.5 and 5k promised to me. sweet 1st in the 50$freeroll pays 6 bucks . niiiiice ty pp.

LDO they are not going to honor their word. They are going to just ignore the problem or MAYBE come up with some convoluted "solution" that will rip off the players and payout 1/100th what they said they would.

its not even about the ****ty short stack turbo freerolls at this point its about a company going out of their way to be dishonest and cheap.

again simplest solution is to keep your word and honor your commitments and run the tournys . but lolz at that right?

Yup. I doubt they have a contingency plan for what the rewards will be now. Let's say Johnny Come Lately just signs up for Borgata today. What incentive is there for him to do the missions?
05-20-2014 , 12:13 PM
Because of the shady backdoor demeanor in which they are going back on their promise, they aren't exactly advertising the changes to their "promotions". So a new player would probably be none the wiser.

Just looked at when we started to question Party/Borgata intentions on this subject - FEBRUARY.

Don't worry @party_rep will be replying to this thread any minute now.

Where are the Party New Jersey Web Page designers? Decided to checkout the site to see if there was anything new. Nope.

But.... they still have the Missions Page, and did you know they offer a Ticket for the Sunday Night $5,000 Giveaway tournament if you Invite a friend and they qualify for you?

"When it comes to playing at partypoker, we believe the more the merrier. So when you bring friends in to play, we think both of you should be rewarded.

Here’s how it works…

You invite a friend and you receive a prize after he makes a deposit and start playing.

What do I get?

As soon as your friend earns 20 points, you get $15 in tournament dollars and an entry into the weekly $5,000 Giveaway, played every Sunday at 19:45 ET.

What do they get?

Just for signing up, your friend gets $15 tournament dollars, on top of their New Player Bonus, that they can use on our tournament tables.

No matter how you look at it, everybody wins."

New players still see this when they signup. Where is the sense of urgency Party/Borgata? Keep the Promotions updated and follow through on them!

I also have OVER $40 K WORTH of $2.5 K and $5K tix across both sites. I have posted my complaint on another forum but this is my first post here. I also have complained repeatedly to the reps and received similar vague responses about a solitary super make-up tournament somewhere in the future that is supposed to compensate us fairly. There is no way this is a fair solution. We are being cheated and have been deceived....BIG TIME.

So, I went to the NJDGE website to find out how to file a formal complaint. It said that first, I must fill out the official complaint form supplied by the site I am having a problem with. When I called Borgata customer service, I wanted to remain anonymous as to avoid any problems with my account and safegaurcd my balance until I had an opportunity to withdraw my funds.t. They would not give me info about their complaint policy until II identified myself. The accents of their service reps made a difficult situation even worse. I was so frustrated that I hung the phone up figuring I will call back once i rethink my strategy.
I think we should all file official formjal complaints and follow the complaints up with the appropriate legal action. Does anyone have any legal connections or experience with class action lawsuits. Does anyone here have any ideas on how to proceed.

I have ripped Party/Borgata multiple times on this board and my player name is in every post. I withdrew all my money from Party and received a check very quickly and I have had no issues at all with my money on Borgata no matter how many times I complain about them.

This is not some offshore site that you have no recourse against. They will not confiscate your funds for complaining.

Edit: Also a great big lol for saying you have 40k worth of tickets. The value of your tickets is equal to what the buy in would be for a 5k tournament. With the number of tickets out there it's probably down to $5 or less for each one. Not what the total prizepool is.
