A real shame. This site in theory could have been a massive success.

Yea can't say I didn't see that coming spend all your time sponsoring players making YouTube videos instead of working on the software. Only good thing about UP was there customer service support. But I can't say in upset that there gone from NJ Nevada. I just feel like they didn't care about the product as much as they didn't there sponsor players

Gee dont say I told you so. Without question the most horribly managed Company EVER. Feel bad for the employees there that had to endure Breitlings BS excuses about the "REGULATORS" not his horrific purchase of CyberArts.
Hopefully other sites like WSOP will learn from this

Online poker can never be successful unless it is country wide and more importantly, international wide.

The software at ultimate poker didn't help their cause, however. It was amateurish at best. It was much worse than that at wsop. But WSOP is also very slow. It's up to congress to try to do something, otherwise online poker is doomed as it exists right now.

While I agree that iPoker would be healthier if all states were involved, I disagree that it's necessary for it to be successful.

States need to realize the importance of compacts, the synergy that is created with more players involved-- NJ needs to get together with NV and DE. Other states would follow. Add in IL, or PA, or <please please please> CA, and iPoker is lucrative for the companies AND states.

Good to see them go, the site sucked. Now everyone will play on wsop where the software is far better.
11-14-2014 , 06:45 PM
Without a doubt ultimate was softer than wsop..
lets just hope the fun players transfer to wsop..
11-14-2014 , 06:50 PM
Yes, it was softer but having to play on **** software sucked.

I think having the competition was important. I feel that it helped players receive more promotions and better VIP programs. Many people played at both sites at the same time so splitting the traffic wasn't that big of an issue.

I wonder why they would lose money if they stay open. You would think that even a little amount of rake would be profitable. They already have the software........and how many employees do they really need for online poker.
11-14-2014 , 08:54 PM
unbelievable joke
11-14-2014 , 09:32 PM
Hope they make good on U-points... silly me for saving them until January.

I'm confused by this too. They probably raked $200k-$250k per month, based on the $700k NV did in September. Drop it to a skeleton staff, dump the big exec salaries, and suspend the software dev until the future looks brighter.

Taxes are 6.75%. Payment processing is about that with the churned cash. I don't see how they couldn't go at least sideways after paying support, server, and office overhead.

There must be something I am missing or else one of the other licensed companies would have taken over the Nevada operations as they must have shopped it around before giving up.

I would like to know how UP is going to make good on the 94k XP I have earned this year. I want some kind of partial credit towards this promotion I have been working for over a year at, thank you.

Great! this means wsop will get some more traffic...lol at the dumb*ss who thinks UP will give credit for eared XP...
11-15-2014 , 12:10 AM
this is a shame for many reasons but that double elimination concept is really cool... I am truly sad to see UP go under... I have been a polarizing figure but at the end of the day anybody would be foolish to not acknowledge UPs high quality service... this is a sad day for me... oh and Butters... If you PM me I will give you my personal email so we can make sure to move this elsewhere and I can continue to rape you... respectfully... thank you everybody for the time here... I will be playing through to Tuesday and will be looking for action so I hope everybody is planning on drowning with the ship... Good luck to everybody and the future of Las Vegas poker.

It was great playing with you guys, especially Jitters and River2Win. And in my off time and waking up time I enjoyed watching WhatisROI and Butters play endless HU sit and gos and trash talk each other. Good times <3

I'm Deadlycloak on wsop.com too (and in real life) so I'm sure I'll see you all around

LOL good luck u troll getting it...
11-15-2014 , 09:30 PM
whatisroi still trolling even as the door closes behind him. Any chance I could convince someone at ultimate to post my lifetime stats heads up against this superstar. Whatisroi I still am offering the challenge to play live 10-20 nl heads up. I am going to miss you martingaling from 25s to 300s and punting off your roll when you dont god mode the 300s. Its also been a shame you have had chat the last month as I used to enjoy all the self promotion/delusional things you would say in the chat.

I am definitely upset to see ultimate go. There customer support was incredible and wish success for all those behind the scenes that helped make it a playable site despite all the obvious flaws.
11-15-2014 , 10:05 PM

11-15-2014 , 10:35 PM
