Without traffic you can not expect to see "knock your socks off" promotions.

There are haters of EVERY site in New Jersey. Five months have passed. Opportunity to be the leader is fast disappearing.

Customer service can only carry you so far. Ultimate has the most online poker smarts of ANY site.

Cut a deal with a software company that is approved in New Jersey. Something drastic must be done. What will it take to get the NJDGE to fast track it?

We want to play on Ultimate, even cash games but.... the bells and whistles like notes, etc. are holding us back. One mixed game - HOSE - table would be outstanding. Fingers crossed for Omaha in next update. NLHE is getting (fill in the blank).

When will the May promo be announced since April has passed?

Joe is in fact leaving our company, although he's staying on for a while to ease the transition. We're going to miss him a lot around here as he's been an amazing leader and someone that I think motivated everyone who worked under him to give their best to the company.

The good news is that I think he's left a really strong team that has a ton of experience. You know Scotty (VIP/poker room operations), Dax (Product) and myself (customer service/payments) but that extends to a number of people who are much less public but nonetheless are awesome at their jobs and a pleasure to work with. So while there's no replacing Joe, I think we'll be continuing to fight the fight and give UP players what they want on all fronts.

I want more limit hold em players. Please make that happen.

Speaking of more players, what's going on with Delaware?(not that it will add much, but anything is good at this point)

Will May be Status Quo for all of the Guaranteed Tournaments, or will there be something else?

Here's a promo for you... Massive overlays every night in both tourneys with cash prizes and cheap satellites to get into those tourneys, along with the best customer service of any site in NJ. If it costs you an average of more than $30 per week to get into the Sunday Night $100 buy in $20k, which has a roughly $8k overlay, you aren't very good at poker.

Lots of people don't care about the overlays because they don't like the platform, all I care about is the free money.

Yeah, I just want the software to come up to a standard where a promotion as a chance to bring in some long term, preferably casual, players.

Probably need ACH withdrawals, too.

Maybe we'll start seeing more UFC cross promotion; that sounds like it has some potential.

Yea I'm to the point where, now, after thinking about it, I don't even want promos on ultimate poker, which may decrease the overlays. The overlays are making me plenty happy.

The overlays are unsustainable, though.

They have no choice but to continue them though. What will save ultimate is a multi-state compact or a complete overhaul of their client. If they get rid of the overlays, they won't have anyone there to play when one of those two things finally happen. I could be wrong, but I would be shocked if they lowered the guarantees before one of those things happened.

Promotion of the week. Play with pipes. I have the early summer sniffles and will try and rest up with Ultimate Poker, a bottle of scotch, and the 5K guaranteed (and some more tourneys)

I'm thinking more about promos for the cash/sng players where a pokersite makes the majority of it's rake.

As far as NV goes...

The lucky 7s SNG promo is really good IMO so I hope to see that continue. It doesn't do a ton to get the high volume guys to push harder but it does push the rec players to try to keep playing at least until they win 3. I really like the setup of that where the rec's get the most out of it and that in turn draws the sharks.

All they really need is something to push cash action. I think something to incentivize table starting could work really well. Maybe give double XP to tables with 3 or less players. (Could extend to 5 players for full ring if you like)

This way all they really have to give extra is Upoints which would likely get turned into MTT buyins and support their overlay situation.


They have offered a better clearance rate reload bonus for this month but it's capped at $100 100%. Clears at 50% rb for NV at least.

Simple solution would be 3 wins gets you into the tourney with a standard start stack. For each additional win you start with x more chips. This would make people want to win insane amount to start with chiplead in the freeroll.

Instead they got rid of the freeroll completely.

This is an easy promotion that doesn't cost too much. Of course, I may be a little biased.

I don't live in Nevada so I can't log in and check but are UFC tickets available in the store?

If not, perhaps you guys would consider offering some for U points for the 2 back to back UFCs in LV this summer. If you'd consider having some in the store how many U points would it cost as I'd def. plan my trip earlier to give myself enough time to earn the points. Despite being a huge fan I've never attended an event and the best card is the summer one in LV.

Is PLO ever going to run in NJ?

The version that contains the requirements the DGE wants for us to spread Omaha is currently with them and being evaluated by their lab. Unfortunately we don't have control over how long they will take to approve it.

Saw that last month, April 2nd, that Ultimate Gaming teamed up with Amaya Gaming on the Casino side and new games, etc. were in the process of being approved by New Jersey. Guess that happened quickly. Does Amaya have a poker client?

Rumors abound that Amaya is in talks with Poker Stars by the way.
