Is there any plans for an iPad app anytime soon?

WSOP and 888 had one almost from the beginning.

Borgata and pp just got one (but nor for tournaments - not sure why).

Just wondering if ultimate is planning to release one soon.

Funny you would mention that - we're having an internal test today. Today was basically "bring your iPad to work" day.

It's still pretty raw as I understand it, but we're going to make sure we have all the kinks ironed out. It's one of the highest priorities we have in the software development team.

Great - definitely looking forward to it. Do you know if it will allow for tournament play like 888 and WSOP? Do you have an approximate timeframe (a few days away, a few weeks away, a few months away, end of year (ugh! hope not that long)?

It will definitely have MTT/SNG and ring game support.

Don't have any idea on a timeline. I played it today for the first time and there are a lot of improvements that need to be made, so I won't speculate on that. But definitely more like "months" than "weeks".

Thank you for the info.

The windows software hasn't changed much in 8 months. Not holding my breath.

I kinda wish you guys were focusing on the computer software rather than doing iOS and android Dev.

The PC client needs so much improving I'd hate to see other things getting in the way of that.

I very much share your opinion, and whenever the product development team asks my opinion on this topic, this is the idea I express.

However the cool thing about the next (major) version of the software that they are working on is that it is essentially "platform agnostic". My understanding is that it will be one version of the software across multiple platforms (Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android, etc.). So once a fix or a feature is implemented in that version, that fix/feature would be available across all versions with minimal effort. That's what they're aiming for and I think that makes a lot of sense. But yes, we are definitely not sacrificing those much-needed fixes to our Windows client in order to support other platforms.

Great news hope it is sooner rather than later, would love to see platform agnostic that way could play on whatever is about! especially tablet play, it seems a waste to need a full computer just to play a couple of hands

Bump.

Any update on the iPad app?

I played it again on Wednesday, it's a lot better, but a lot needs to be optimized; it's a bit slow and chunky. But it is coming along well and I am impressed at the rate of improvement.

The app for iOS is already done?

Done? Thats a complicated word. Lets just say we want it released as soon as possible, and are doing everything we can to make that happen.
