General Questions For UP Reps General Questions For UP Reps

I don't live in Nevada or New Jersey, but I will be coming out next summer to a Station Casinos property (specifically Sunset Station) so I have some questions about UP.

1) How much space will the software take of my computer's storage? I have a convertible that uses an SSD for both the memory and storage space and what space I have left is minimal. I also have access to a full sized laptop with more space, but I prefer to use the convertible.

2) Are there play money games/tournaments that I can play before and after I am in Vegas? I would consider it a waste of space if I download something I can only use for just a few days.

3) If there are play money games, do I download the same software to use in my home state and when I am in Vegas playing cash games?

Thanks for your time.

The downloadable client only takes up about 70MB, but system requirements include:
A Windows-based operating system (Windows Vista, Windows 7 or newer)
1.2 GHz Intel or AMD based CPU
1 GB memory (RAM)
A minimum screen/display resolution of 1280x800

Although we currently do not have a Play Money version, you are able to set up your account from out of state, and even deposit to be ready to play while you are here visiting. You are able to navigate the site, and see the available ring games and tournaments while out of state, but cannot play until you are within the borders of NV. Also, we have several freerolls a day for you to get your feet wet and try out our site while you are in NV.

If you have any issues or hiccups feel free to chat with one of our Player Care Aces at playercare.ultimatepoker.com. We look forward to seeing you at the tables!

I think my convertible has all the specs except screen/display resolution but not being that much of a tech guy, I am not sure if the 1366 x 768 of my convertible is sufficient since the first number is higher than what you specified but the second number is lower.

We ran a quick test, and I think you will be ok.

Thanks for the reply. Given my trip is about a year away, but more importantly there is no play money option, I am going to wait to download the software.

Taj has announced a closing date of 11/13. What does that mean for UP?

Article says that both Betfair and Ultimate are opting out of their deals with Trump Entertainment. Where does this leave Ultimate? NJDGE will have to respond. TE is playing the get rid of health insurance and pension cards. That is terrible.

I'm sure they will find a new casino to partner with and in the meantime I'm sure the NJ Government won't try to close them down since it wasn't their fault the taj is going under.

I wonder how much thought Stations Casino has given to investing in NJ. Times like these would offer basement type prices but the downside is there's a legitimate reason why all these AC casinos are closing.

Who is left that doesn't have online gambling other than Resorts, that we all assume will be Poker Stars?

Aren't Borgata and Stations owned by the same company?

No.

Borgata is "owned by Marina District Development, a joint venture between Boyd Gaming and a divesture trust established by MGM Resorts International."

MGM is interestingly attempting to get back its New Jersey license at a hearing with NJDGE today.

Company Profile from website:
Station Casinos is the leading provider of gaming and entertainment in Las Vegas, Nevada. Station's properties are regional entertainment destinations and include various amenities, including numerous restaurants, entertainment venues, movie theaters, bowling and convention/banquet space, as well as traditional casino gaming offerings such as video poker, slot machines, table games, bingo and race and sports wagering.

In regards to available partners, the only possibility is if any of the casinos have available platform slot sites. Under the law, each casino can offer 5. (need confirmation of this). There are a few openings if this is true.

Would it be possible to have a visual hand history, rather then a written one?
