Yeah, I've had many problems with that over the past few weeks. I finally figured out some weird workaround.

When that happens, don't click on the active table. Immediately go to any website forum you have up and just move around. For some reason, it seems to unfreeze it. Then go back and play your hand.

Thanks! I will try it tonight!

Well, since this seems to be list day ITT, here are a few things:

hand replayer
auto top up for cash games
auto sit out next bb for cash games(might as well make it for all tables)
HUD maybe, but at least downloadable HHs

There are two $10 Last Chance turbos (10:00) on the schedule tonight... Glitch? Are they both going to run?

UP resolved this in what I would consider a pretty generous way. Although I've been a bit frustrated with the software lately(had a few crashes) their customer service continues to be awesome.

If anyone is experiencing crashes (either NJ or NV), please see Dax's most recent topic.

Crashing Client?

Most of the client crashes have been fixed, but there seem to be a few people with persistent problems. If you're one of them, and willing to help us diagnose these problems, please visit that thread/e-mail product@ultimategaming.com

Please add hand histories that save as text files on our PC.

can you please provide a bit more detail? What state are you in, are you logged in, account funded, one MTT vs. all MTT's
03-21-2014 , 11:36 PM
I just did the add on for the Big 10 Limit tournament, and it didn't give me the option to do it via U Dollars. I'm not a tournament player, and wanted to use up two 10 dollar tickets I had. Is there any way this can be swapped out to use my other 10 dollar ticket and give me back the 10 dollars cash?
03-22-2014 , 11:36 AM
Yeah, I have noticed that you can't do rebuys and add ons in tourney dollars. It hasn't really bothered me since I am playing exclusively MTTs on UP right now, but that should probably be fixed.

I emailed UP about this long ago. The CS person wrote that it would be passed along, but I don't think it's an accident. With people winning $U and using them to enter tourneys, getting money from Rs/As seems the plan to circulate some real money.
03-22-2014 , 11:12 PM
if you want more players playing on your site, stop logging them off after a few minutes of inactivity.
I would be playing a couple of sng's on your site right now but your site logged me off.
it takes at least 3 tries to get logged on your site before I'm recognized as being in NJ, so I give up and play elsewhere when I'm auto logged off.
03-23-2014 , 10:56 AM
Regulations make them log people off after 15 minutes of inactivity. It is totally ******ed, and something I would really love to see changed in the regs, but it isn't anything they really have control over.

It's not. It's a bug, and it is on the list to be fixed.

So does that mean you will refund my $10 cash, and take the $10 Ticket I have instead? No one answered my question.

This was resolved for me today, thanks to you and Joel for getting the ball rolling, and for Scott making it happen.

Open Letter to Terrence Chan:

March 25, 2014

Dear Terrence and Ultimate Gaming Poker Side of the Business,
Get the software updated. It has been four (4) months of waiting in New Jersey and an additional 2 months in Nevada.

You should be jumping up and down to get UFC and Station Casinos to get the necessary personnel to get it more sophisticated.

Tonight we couldn't even get 3 people for the $10 Double Stack ($400 Guaranteed) R&A Tournament at 5:30 PM in New Jersey.

If necessary, cut a deal with a software provider that can give you a new look and added bells and whistles. See the list of available already approved vendors on the NJDGE site.

A re-launch six months after your introduction in Nevada would be a coup.

You are leaving a lot of New Jersey business on the tables and you know it.

Your Customer Service Staff of Aces has the highest of regard from every player that comes in contact. It is time to parlay this compelling, competitive advantage.

When is it going to happen? Instead of more players, your core is going to jump ship.

What do you have to say Terrence and Team?

An Ultimate Poker Player

PS Any other New Jersey Players feel the same?

What he said.

My 2 biggest beefs with the software are that the type in the lobby is too small and the games are slower due to short lags between the time the person before you acts and your options come up. It might only be a second, but it adds up. Also the deal is too slow. It takes longer at the start of the hand to deal the cards than other sites and this isn't on ESPN, we don't need the hesitation for the river when 2 people are all in.

Again, Service is awesome and that's what keeps me playing on Ultimate. I trust that when there's a problem you'll fix it, and you likely won't lose my business, but you won't gain new business either.

Edit: And player notes... and a decent hand history.

Great post PALLADIN. For me, I'd like to have everything mentioned, but above all, synch breaks are my main focus. If we get synch breaks, it would be awesome. All the other software suggestions are good, but this is most important for our bodies. To be able to stretch and walk around and eat and ***t lol, for five minutes every hour, is huge. I will never jump ship on ultimate, but this would attract more players

So, I had surgery yesterday and according to doctor's orders I'm not supposed to make any "important decisions" until the drugs in my system are totally gone. (Yes, it literally says that.)

But F- it, I'll respond anyway.

You're absolutely right.

The rate of improvement in our software is not acceptable. We absolutely should have delivered a host of things to the players by now. I push for a lot of these things daily. Realize that we *are* at core a poker company. Myself, Scott Yeates (Director of Gaming Ops) and Chris Danek (Director of Product) have all been Supernovas and we all played poker for a living. Our boss, Joe Versaci (COO) has been in the online poker industry for his entire professional career and is pretty much the definition of the coveted "recreational player".

We get it, and it's even more frustrating to us than to you guys, hard as that might be to believe. We absolutely should have waitlists, time banks, sync breaks, proper button draws, proper rebuy/addon functionality, notes, a perfectly stable client, Mac/iPad/Android clients, faster deal speed, automatic deposit/play bonuses, and more. No one knows better than us what we need. Yes, there is definitely a problem with technological throughput and we're working on that.

It is not all the technology/product team. No one wants to hear this, but the regulatory hurdles are substantial. I can tell you that our most recent software update (which does include waitlists, among other things) was submitted for approval to the New Jersey regulators on 2/26 and to Nevada on 3/5. Obviously today is 3/26 and a big part of our CTO's time is being spent basically harassing these regulators to hurry up and approve our release. We thought by now that we'd be in a much better flow and be able to iteratively release much more often. When a release is held up for a really long time, it has a cascading effect on our product because when it does get approved into production (i.e. you guys can play on it), then we learn more about what we need to approve. We get feedback from players and we discover new issues and bugs ourselves. But because there is such a massive delay between the completion of our work and getting it into the wild, we're not able to speed up our development and continue to iterate better products.

I definitely don't want to use the regulatory process as an excuse, however. It's a reality that us and our competitors have to live with, and the bottom line is that we have to get better internally. I technically have no role or authority when it comes to product or technology (I'm basically a customer service guy and a payments/anti-fraud guy) but I sit in on every meeting I can where the product roadmap and status of new features/bug-fixes is discussed, because I know that right here, right now, that's where my experience can best serve UP's players.

Thank you guys for both your support, and your criticism. We hear you.

Terrence,
Thanks for your honesty and straight forward explanation. Clear and Concise.

See that you are truly disappointed. None of your competitors have the passion or compassion to come on 2+2 and lay it out for us. Respect to you and the Poker Players on your team.

Sorry to hear about the health problems. Get well wishes.
