So I've decided to restart an OIC – because of the unique variables in today's post Black-Friday world, as well as personal headaches, I'm going to be doing some stupid crap to make this work

1. - 6-max tables – quite frankly, Bovada can barely sustain 9 player tables – while OIC seems to work better with the 9-10 max – (more time to wait for premium hands) – it's just not gonna happen

2. - Basically I start with 40 BB's and I move up when I hit that next level and unlike the previous OIC's, I'm not starting at the .50/$1 level but grinding it out in the penny/nickel state for a couple weeks – starting bankroll is 4 bucks at 0.05/0.10 limit poker.

3. - For reasons I won't get into here, my poker playing is intermittent and sporadic – in short, there are people in my life who don't need to know about it and have a problem with it and I have to play when they're not around – 'nuff said

4. Because I know SO LITTLE about 6 handed PF hand selection, I will be relying on this thread - http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/22...charts-122781/ - as time goes on I hope to memorize it a bit

I should crosspost on my other blog but for now I'll keep it here.

session 1 - .5/.10 – 5/1 around 5pm
start - $4.00
end - $4.66

barely got a table – I need to learn when the site is most populated and play for those times. - 5 handed right now but that's ok –

first session first hand BB I win with a pair of 4's on an AKQ board – second hand I flop trips and lose to 4 spades on the board and one dude sitting on a pair of pocket 4's – let the game begin – LOL

misread a hand early - thought I was raising an unraised late position pot with QJ when actually I threebet it - board was 9 high - checked flop/turn - bluffed on river and lost to a guy calling with KQ - yeesh - no bluffin'

made an early move with A4 and laid down a reraise on the turn when I had 4 outs for a straight - then one hit on the river - I did fold to two pair, so I was probably right to lay it down given the odds.

no time to play now - more to come later

session 2 - .5/.10 – 5/2 around 520pm
start - $4.66
end - $7.87

dropped 40 cents fast on two draws in the SB/BB – we got to 4 players and I made an executive call that if a 9 player table was open I was going to go for it – as it turned out we had 8/9 on a table and I transitioned over at $4.21

oh yah – no way to be on a waiting list and no way to see full tables – this site needs work – jeez.

Caught a pair of a's preflop cap – flopped a set and took it for a buck
won $2.40 with KK preflop cap – flop was a total turd (T97) – trip'd up on turn and J on river nearly buried me but best hand I saw was T9 of the two players remaining. It did slow me down enough where on the turn I only called the 3 bet instead of capping it.

Just saw a guy come with 773 bucks to the 0.05/0.10 table – I understand if it's your whole BR and you're trying to run over it in NL – but uh...kinda weird otherwise – LOL – save some for the next table – (and he's gone and here's a dude with $247)

Even on a 9 handed table this thing is down to about 6 half the time – which is fine cause I can play the 6 handed pf charts – it's been a good first hr but if experience has taught me anything in the OIC, it's that the last 10% is a mofo. -

Table dropped down to 3 – nothing else open – ah well – God I miss pokerstars. - well...there's a 6 handed table with 5 – ok

On an unrelated note....I've been watching network certification videos as I play but I'm going to stop – cause I don't remember crap from the videos – if it were life and death and I needed to know how to configure Auto-RP's in a Multicast network, I'd be hanging from dead man's hill right now but supposedly I just watched the video on it.

Meanwhile I'm reading a thread about how Bryan Micon has a warrant out for his arrest and the vitriol in it is astounding. What the hell happened to online poker while I was away?

Hard to find a new table and hard to see anything in the lobby – site is laggy – I'm guessing the fight tonight in Vegas is seriously clogging their pipes with sports betting – bummer – but I'm about 50% of my way to the next level

session 3 - .5/.10 – 5/2 around 820pm
start - $7.87
end - $8.31

getting some extra alone time tonight – sweet – been a while. I'll also be away for a bit in two weeks so I'll take what I can get now.

Not much to report – tripped up with J's and bet the whole way with one caller – thought about trying to slowplay but it had already been checked around to me in the Button

Most of these guys have less than a buck on the table and the cashier/sports feed is dead – I'm sure the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight is wrecking havoc with it. As long as it still has my 8 bucks I'm happy.

Ha – a 3 penny sb call with T/4 offsuit and I flop KTT and get a bet from two players on the turn and river - – up to almost 9 bucks. I probably won't stay at this limit for long – too easy to get paid at this level. - Now 9.32 – so close..

I also keep chat off – now that it's anonymous, who cares what Number 4 has to say to me – LOL

You know though? For as bad as the lobby sucks, I like anonymous Poker. I hated having to use Pokertracker, monitor my PFR's, and all that crap that came with playing some 20k hand database on me and their HUD. The game stopped being really enjoyable during that time. Hence my desire as I recall to play more live – but that died down the last winter I played with a f'ing snowstorm coming back from the cardroom every night.

Down to 9 bucks – too good to last – AK suited ran into a set of 9's - - happens.

So basically, I keep the Shorthanded charts in jpeg form on a folder and I click on the first one in image view – I can just click thru them – I'd say 80% of the time I know what I should do but with weaker hands I don't trust my judgment so much. Having maybe a slightly harder time playing small pocket pairs that don't trip up. Before I'd lay them down but I'm more tempted to hang on to them here -

Now that's the one thing I miss about pokertracker – where are my holes. AT offsuit used to be a big one.

God, I've caught this bastard on my left – calls raises with K2 offsuit and slowplays Q's – be glad when he's gone – down to 8.20 – guess I could change tables – BWAHAHAHA – no I can't cause there are none,

Well, gotta go TIVO some stuff – guess the woman beater won the boxing match – swell.

session 4 - .5/.10 – 5/3 0000-0115
start - $8.31
end - $9.65

Bovada was down for awhile – finally got in and literally started from an empty table up – got some HU play

I'll have to remember that – in case I get tired of waiting.

Gotta be more careful of calling raises when I think I'm calling limpers. Both look like .05 cent chips.

As much as I want to Multitable I don't think I will – better to focus on one for this challenge – I can still get a read on players if I pay attention – or at least a feel – and I am taking notes and looking at replays that seem weird to see what was folded.

Chart said to raise A8 offsuit with one limper on the button – I SUPPOSE but god I hate that hand – hate it worse when I flop a gutshot draw with the 8.

Still doing ok – except now 3 handed – got a nut flush vs. two other flushes – that paid well. - up to 9.47 – 4 handed now – let' see. - AJ suited vs the new guy paid ok but he got me back when I had AK....good times.

Damn, I want to quit but so close....Been stagnant around 9 bucks for 30 min but I feel like calling it for now - 35 cents short of the finish line for this level - but maybe I'll watch some Samurai Cinema instead.

session 5- .05/.10 – 5/3 1815-1930
start - $9.65
end - $9.12

damn – no games open on the 6 or 9 handed tables yet. There are two .10/.25's which are my next level, but I try to commit to staying within the limits for my amounts – 10 more min. and I may change my mind but I have an article to read about the dawn of online music piracy too

There we go – buyin 9.65 on a 6 handed .05/0.10 game

Player one is clearly jerking off every street – must not be ambidextrous – jeez – I'll be here an hr at this rate to earn 35 cents.

Just flopped a nut straight with 3 hearts on the board – damn – and it's player 1 betting – he must be triggering a 15 sec. Warning every damn round – I think it's why this table has such high turnover – I'm going on tilt just waiting for his slow decrepit ass.

You know, I'm not paranoid but I miss a lot of st8 draws on this craphole – just lost a 15 outer on the river – that's always mildly annoying.

Just totally stagnant here. Dropped to 8.95 and crept back up to 9.50 – but still this should be over – jeez – hasn't helped we've been 3 handed for a while

Maybe now's the time to talk about the image – I use a blue round racetrack table and I used the white cards with red letter backgrounds because I want there to be NO DOUBT whether my opponent has cards and they stick out well. I've seen some cheap skins for sale including Pokerstars but I think they'd make me too sad to play on them Like I say – I miss the old sites way too much.

**** – had I won the hand I just lost with the K high flush draw on the flop this would be over – back to 9.48

Another cheap A suited in big blind with no pairs and one to my suit – can feel my patience slipping – screw it – I got Game of Thrones on the Tivo and it's time to take a break and walk away – first losing session in this round but I'll have time to get back into the swing later tonight probably.

if it was easy EVERYONE would play 0.05/0.10

I've done the "video" stuff before - mostly with chess for chessvideos.tv - If I lived alone - no doubt - but I'm married now - and I get interrupted a lot and there are also people I want to keep under the radar on.

Anyhooser...

session 6- .05/.10 – 5/3 2030-2115
start - $9.12
end - $10.21

Ok – for the love of Westeros, let's put a spear thru this doublecrossing bitch of a level.

Really – a two outer – he hit a two outer – **** you Westeros – I'm on Team Braavos now.

Wow ..just got 4 of a kind (J5 suited on the button vs. a ****ty A high) – $1.67 pot gets me to $9.89 – we capped it on the river and I don't know what he was betting cause he didn't even have a full house – unfortunately he just left the table after that loss but still.

AND I just got two bet by J7 into my JT on a Jxx board – river pairs the board with 3's but with a 9 high card it's not enough and I drag the pot - - officially $10.21

ALLRIGHTY – screw this – I need to go to the gym – next session we're up to the .10/.25 level

session 7- .10/.25 – 5/3 2312 - 2344
start - $10.21
end - $9.47

two tables of .10/.25 with 4/6 each – big time now. I think the idea is if you drop two levels you go back down but since I'm only one level away – there's no point – I play this 10 bucks or I go home

It's good too cause I'm already at $9.21 – maybe I'm only good enough for 0.05/0.10 poker and after that I'm crap.

Sweet – got run down by 82 suited – suck my dick player 6. It's a good thing I keep chat off I guess. And then I just cracked QQ and a set with my A of spades on a flush board – so I guess life is pain after all. I got a burning cards graphic with that one. Not many problems that can't be solved with fire, I always say.

Table died – not seeing another one handy – will catch my breath and come back later

start - $9.47

Well, I just took 2nd in a 10buck SNG so that will take the sting off a bit, I guess.

So I saw this table – 10 buck 6 handed all in SNG – WTF? I guess that is the game we have always wanted to play – no skill all luck shoot-em hold-em – two chips and all-in every hand until they have a winner – wild.

Not much to say this round – would have won 5 bucks if I called preflop with crap and gone to the river- c'est la vie. It's amazing what a good SNG round will do for your calm in a ring game cause I am starting to get the hell aggravated out of me but not cussing as much as normal

Couple big misses – got bluffed once cause he showed – guess this is where Doyle plays or something.

Oh hell – lost a monster pot to a gutshot on the river – I need to get out of this lameass game for the night. I think I've lost every hand I've raised or had the best starter with preflop – I should just play SNG's apparently. Maybe start playing chess again.

Getting beat to hell – retreat retreat
