Alright. So updates.

Got job offer. Taking it. Put in my 2 weeks notice earlier. Got pre-approved for a bigger house loan. We are now officially looking for a house.

I told the company that my last day will be sept 30. And then I'll take a week off before starting new job.

Will probably give my 2 weeks on Friday. Is a huge raise with a lot of flexibility. Now we can get a bigger house.
Nice. Congratulations, yo.
Did you get exclusive use of the jet and the box at AT&T?
20 days paid vacation?!
Good luck in the new position.
You think the old job will offer a counter (again) when you give notice?
Does the new place know about your hobbit foot and the pink, rather penis looking great toe?

I'd come back, sure, but not likely when KB is there. Hell be on another mission, and that would be a lot of time away from home for me.

Guess I should have read the whole thread...

That's awesome. That last two weeks...they should just pay you and let you go.

House hunting is pretty fun for a minute. I bet daisy will dig it.

Glad you survived minor surgery. I'm guessing that's the first "procedure" you've had? I videoed my kid getting it done. ****ing hilarious! He couldn't look. They sprayed the cold stuff on there and he started crying and moaning. Didn't know the doc put the shots in, and it was all over before he knew it. He looked up, asked when they were gonna start when doc was wrapping him up. We were all in the room. His little sister was busting his balls about being baby. Good times..

Doubt they got a jet, but maybe some season tickets. Who knows.

Starting out, i think i get about 2 weeks paid yeah.

They may counter, but I'm not gonna take it. It would have to be a considerable amount of money for me to consider. I've been unappreciated by the uppers since I've been here, and in just ready to be gone. If they offer me like 10k more than this new place, I'd have to do some thinking, but short of that.....

I checked out mentally months ago. I stopped caring about being there. My quality of work was fine, but i didn't care if i came in an hour late or left an hour early. Didn't care if i came in 3 days a week or 5. They can't fire me, because they need at least 2 people that can do the job employed if they want to keep their annual sales up. With the current workload and the amount of jobs going, 1 person could not keep up with getting new estimates out and do the day-to-day stuff. So, i had job security and took advantage of it, completely. They would have had to hire someone before firing me, and it would have to be someone already experienced, which isn't cheap - any one else experienced is already working at a competitor and getting paid good money.

She's loving the house hunting. Me, not so much. I don't like all these big numbers.

She did the shots, i was numb. She popped the toenail and i turned beet red, i wasn't numb in some small area. My God, that hurt so much. So, she injected me again, and then finished.

Man, it's 10 til 8 and i haven't gotten out of bed. It's pouring rain..

Do you have unused paid time off at the current (old) job?
Are they gonna cash it out? If not...vacation!

How's the toe?
Other than the pain and swelling, have you noticed the formation of gills? Often, after a procedure like you had, the toe will work to break free of the foot and strike out on its own.

Seems dubious.
Still hurts pretty bad, but I'll live, i guess. More houses to look at tomorrow after work. Check up with the doc tomorrow in the AM also

It sounds like you already picked out a realtor so it's kind of a dick move to swap but I had a pretty good experience with Redfin since their 1% cash back for the buyer is pretty nice.

That's kinda cool. We got referred to a pretty good realtor imo. She busting her ass and explaining things to us. Pointing good and bad things about the houses we've looked at.

Daisy is definitely giving her a work out. Daisy is super organized, and the realtor was not ready for that.
