1) You're absolutely getting all this attention because you're female. With your writing style, you have the opportunity to become the female WarmDeck of 2+2.

2) If you write and expose yourself to an open forum like this, you should fully expect both sides of the spectrum of praise and criticism.

I fully acknowledge the fact that you're only sharing pieces of your life and so for us to draw conclusions on the information you've given may be incorrect. But the people who are making Brandy references and bashing you are spot on with the picture you've painted.

You want to take this thread to the next level and shut all of us up with this talk of side betting? Have people put money against or in favor that you are a winning blackjack/video poker/ or break even 5-5, 5-10 player. You'll have the opportunity to hustle your haters.

The quickest and easily verifiable bet to wager on would be blackjack. We can setup a computer with a blackjack program, or use one on the web and see your card counting skills put to the test. Also open to any other suggestions of verifiable wagers...

The reality is: It's really difficult to know if you are a winner playing only live poker, because of the lower sample.

As a starting point for the terms of the wager:
You'll play blackjack against a computer for 5,000 hands. Minimum bet of 5 and maximum bet of 100. If you're in the positive at the end of 5,000 hands, you win. Else you lose.

I will have you count down a deck I will remove 2 cards you will need to be able to do this in under 25 seconds and give me the count. For team checkouts we were very stringent. I will be lenient and only request you do it 5x

I will ask you several basic strat questions

I will ask you several true count play deviations (none will be obscure but the improtant money ones) These will be ev deviations not MIT ce deviations

I will be able to determine if you have an edge pretty quickly with these simple tests

Honestly, I'm not putting any money on anything. I really don't care to prove myself, I have no need to boost my ego, I (and quite a few ppl on here) could get by with less than half of the amount of ego that's being used.

You're in a forum with a vast majority of guys, so you will often be receiving "white knight" advice. That being said, here's mine....

You have said you are trying to "reach" something--a dream; a better life; become a defector from the 9-5; control your destiny; have the bankroll travel on a whim; be a gypsy with a purpose; or [filled in by Amanda]...

You (and ONLY you) control each and every choice you make and action you take (your comment about you "can't pretend idiots are just people while drunk"). But actually you can make a choice to not drink, to stop after a certain point, to not get kicked out, to not play video poker, etc.

In order to reach your dreams you will have to make choices. Your choices should reflect thoughtfulness. Granted, you do not control the outcome of your choices, but you do control the choices you make. Do you limp under the gun with 4-9 off suit because you're stuck and tilted after your set got cracked by a runner runner flush? You can, but does that choice get you where you want to be or have you likely put yourself in a -EV situation? Blowing $50 at video poker on the hope to hit a straight flush someday is entertaining, but does playing a -EV game get you where you want to be in life? Drinking and becoming obnoxious at a bar is a release and lets you forget about your current troubles, but does that choice get you where you want to be?

Dreams don't come easy--they're Hard. ******. Work. And they require making hard ****** choices to get there.

No one ever makes perfect choices each and every day, much like no one ever makes perfect choices at the poker table each and every session (plus both life and poker would be boring as hell if we never got off the straight path every now and then), but when the bad choices start to outnumber the good choices, your bankroll at the table bleeds dry and your dreams slip ever so farther away.

Make more +EV choices at the poker table and eventually, your bankroll will grow. Make more +EV choice in life and eventually you will succeed at what you are trying to accomplish.

If you're playing big bet poker, it'll slow up the game if everybody has to ask for a count. Your opponents have a right to accurately count your stack.

If you're playing limit poker, w/e. Zoo stack to your heart's content.
