Although I need more poker books like I need more holes in my head, I picked up a couple the other day.

I got Noble Hustle by Whitehead and Fading Hearts on the River by Haxton.

I see where CBS has picked up The McCarthys for the fall and Battle Creek for mid-season. The wife and I saw The McCarthys last year and Battle Creek this year at Television City in the MGM.

I enjoyed both while the wife liked the former but not the latter.

Have a day entirely to myself and guess what? Cable box is on the fritz and I can't play using the version of WSOP.com I have on my computer as it is no longer supported.

I have started regularly playing WSOP poker on my Nook and I have to say I am proud of myself. You can buy chips, but that is something I haven't done. Not sure how many I started with but through a combination of playing; the free chips you can get every four hours; and the slot machine, I've built up my stack to over a million chips.

I am really close to three million in chips on the WSOP app now, I've won five sit n' gos, and chipped in twenty-seven of them. Still haven't bought any chips.

But I am on here to publicly say how proud I am of the wife. We played bar poker Thursday which was the first time we've played live since Vegas and she came back from having just a thousand in chips to finish second.

Way to go, honey!

Up over four million in chips on WSOP. I've now won seven of their single table SnGs and while I'd like to say it was due to my superior skills that would be a lie. A lot of people play really bad.

I'm a little upset right now, but this blog will let me blow off steam.

The wife brought me lunch and had to cross the street. While watching her walk in the crosswalk, I could hear a car coming fast. Even though she was in the crosswalk, the car didn't stop. As it went past her, the wife told the driver to slow down.

The driver stopped and told her that he was only going fifteen. She rightly told him he was going faster than that. At that point I was by the wife and I told him that he didn't stop for my wife in the crosswalk. His response? "I wasn't going to hit her.". I told him it didn't matter as he was supposed to stop.

He said a few more things and the wife said to call security. The driver said, "Yeah, call ****ing security.".

The kicker was the driver had a young child in the front passenger seat.

What kind of example was that ******* setting?

I am ****ING PISSED! I have an older car that while it has had the usual door dings never had a major dent. With two cars between the wife and I, we sometimes leave this older car sitting and sometime within the past week, someone hit my car and it is VERY noticeable.

Again, I am ****ING PISSED!

I am not technically proficient enough for that.

I'm up over 9.5 million play chips on the WSOP android game. I've been playing mostly 1k/2k and buying in for the maximum of 400k. I want to have the maximum to play with so I can have more bullets to fire with and take as many chips as I can from the other players. I've had two hands that ended up being about 700k chip pots.

I'm also up to about 76 books on my Nook.

WHY the heck am I up this time of morning? WHY am I not back in bed? Darn you 2plus2 and the many interesting posters who inhabit it.

I got up to 11.5 million in chips on the WSOP android app, did an update about a week ago, and now I get an error everytime I try to play.

Darn.

I want it known that I didn't change my name slightly and write this book.

I decided to uninstall and reinstall the app which I just did a few minutes ago. I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't lose any of my chips.

File this under weird coincidences.

I was reading an AOL story about the KKK recuiting using candy in ziploc baggies and wondering if their target was children when my phone rang. Looking at caller id showed the call was from someone in Selma Alabama.

Well, I am taking the plunge tomorrow and entering once again the regular online poker scene. So as to not publicly humiliate myself I am not playing under this name.
