i'm 1 month into building an IG page to turn my girlfriend into a model... i'm a professional photographer with significant contacts in that world

spent about 3 months creating content and launched a week before Thanksgiving... completely organic growth, no follow4follow type tags used to grow and i've gone from 0-3250 followers so far

i have plans to scale but i'm focused on getting to the point where our account is following 7500 highly engaged users so that engaging in content on the page's own feed gets us the best ROI

my growth model revolves around getting free engagement by being able to be featured in "top posts" for every single hashtag that i use

I can pin anytime i want to #maxim #ledzeppelin #electricforest #tombrady #garthbrooks #fhm

I will soon be able to pin to #playboy and other similarly high volume hashtag feeds

At any given time I have my pictures pinned to at least 75 hashtag feeds with a lot of times staying over 100

my stretch goal when i started was to get to 3k followers by the end of the year and i will be at 5k by then pretty easily.

currently i'm growing at over 100 followers per day and got 165 likes in the first hour on my most recent post

it's hard to rate my engagement as a % of followers because my followers are growing so quickly as a % of my total but if i post a picture of something other than her i get about 25% engagement, if i post a candid of her i get about 30% engagement and nudes or sexy pics are about 40% engagement

Hate to sound like a dick but that girl is nowhere near looking good enough To be a top tier IG model. I'm not saying she's ugly or anything but I would take serious bets that you will never get organic growth for her beyond maybe 20k and that's pushing it. To get beyond that you'll need to get a serious gimmick going for her like smoking weed in pics or wayyyyy more tats and either way she will still need a boob job, put on a solid 20lbs of GOOD size from clean eating and gym time and some editing done On her face photos. ? i deleted the people i was following that weren't following me back... so that i can follow more targeted users. that's the way anyone should build a brand on IG

the goal is to build user engagement and nothing creates as engaged a following as you engaging them first. you then use that engagement to target pinning to hashtags, which i am currently ranked on the top posts of about 70 different hashtag feeds highlighted by #maxim which i can pin to every day

i plan to follow to build followers until i have maxed out at 7500... then i will unfollow any accounts not engaging and follow more until i have a 7500 account machine that puts my pics on top of any hashtag on IG. that exposure will allow me to scale

Just my opinion from someone who knows more than his fair share of IG models. Every girl that works with my wife THINKS they are an IG model and some of them are legit 10/10 with pro photos and I think only one has 100k+ which is brinamberlee. Otherwise they are lucky to get to 20k+ with pro photo shoots and being literally drool over hot.

Idk if you know who Jennifer Vaughn is but she is a good friend of mine... we have access to very high level cross promotion and I've built this from 0-3350 in 5 weeks.

We can create an insane amount of content because I am a professional photographer and we travel a lot for my work which will put us in a lot of interesting places where I can set up shoots with some of the best photographers in the country

I launched a little earlier than I wanted to to work with Jen, on a promotion but then that got pushed so myou content is a little meh still but will be getting a lot more ig focusedan

I have a growth model that gets me to 15k and from there I'll be able to put my content in the "top posts" of any hashtag on ig, that's how I plan to scale and by then I'll have my content dialed in

Im curious though, why do you think I can add 100+ followers a day now but that will plateau at 20k?

Every strategy we have used to get to where we are is rinse and repeatable through about 15k followers and from there we'll focus on engaging likers from being in hashtag top posts... I can get about 10% of my likes from those sources already and I'm just starting to hone in on my hashtag strategy

It is from all of the models that I have shot that I developed this plan and so far it's working well... I want the wonky looking candids so that the page comes off as bts rather than attention whoring but the quality of the content will get a lot better before I scale

What is your experience in the space?

I could do this with any cute girl that looks good naked but she is extremely easy to shoot and I can have her working with the best photographers out there. I'm getting around 40% engagement. I'm not trying to get her to be a victory secret model, I just need a platform that people follow so that I can get hired by a resort to go on vacation and take pictures of my gf while I'm there lol

The only thing you need to grow a brand on ig is for it to be visually appealing and to have the content get in front of people

most of these are "candids" ... they aren't perfect ig model pics but they are supposed to give you more of a sense of who she is... i'm still refining my content but basically for normal IG models they have the problem of not being able to generate enough high quality content to tell their story... most girls aren't shooting that much unless they are full time professional models and there aren't many of those.

what my concept does is use all professionally shot candids as filler content and keep the audience engaged. it's a strategy that most girls can't execute and is a huge advantage for us

I'm not sure it's fair on his exploited gf to make too many comments about her attractiveness or not, in case she happens upon this thread at some time in the future, and the content knocks her obviously high self-confidence.

Perhaps we should concentrate more on his photographic skills and originality of thought and course of action? I haven't seen one photograph yet that would make me follow him any more than any one of the hundreds of thousands of other random photographers trying to peddle their wares, whatever they may be, on the internet. Imo, they are all very standard and simply background wallpaper quality. imdrax's first post nailed it, albeit in a tongue in cheek fashion.

Sure it is, he is putting her out there like this with her consent. This is no different than Mr. Wonderful telling some guy to abandon his cookie business because his cookies taste like ****. Nobody is saying this girl is ugly or doesn't have a decent body. What we are saying is that she in no way whatsoever has the face of a famous IG model. If I posted a bunch of pictures of me trying to be an IG model you wouldn't have a problem ripping me apart for being delusional because I have an ugly mug. The same applies here.

Btw, with pictures like that, the censored posts on this forum are PG13 compared to the IG trolls. They will literally rip her to shreds. Have you seen the **** people say on there? Dear lord.
