I've been a mod here for a long time. I don't know that I've temp banned more than two people, in total.

I don't really understand why the rules are not enforced in the same manner across the different forums. I know that the rules I was told for this forum were for no links, except perhaps in very limited circumstances. In fact, the original post in this thread was reported because of the link, and I wasn't the person who removed it.

I completely understand the rule and agree its not good business to let people link away from the site... But in this instance I would have assumed it was safe enough to let it slide....

This thread is nothing without some reference and IMO is pure comedy gold with it...

Well, to be fair you didn't say which January, and at this rate you'll hit it by January 2100 - sick plan to execute like you said you would and bring in the new century at the same time.

His strategy of gaining followers through hashtagged pins was interesting in theory but is clearly a major bust. I guess instantgram users don't click hashtags and browse. Most users probably will follow if you follow them first - he has 3800 followers and has followed 5510. The funny thing is IG only allows you to follow/unfollow 20 people per hour. So even though it's a short 5 minute task to follow 20 people, he had to do it 275 times. Not to mention he has probably spent time unfollowing users who didn't follow him back- or would need to start doing so as he nears the 7500 limit for following.

He needs ~6100 followers to get to 10k.
For every 1.42 people he follows, he gets 1 follower.
So he needs to follow 8687 more.
But also he will need to unfollow 6697.
Total of 15,384 follows/unfollow. 20 per hour.

He needs to do it 769 more times. Figure once an hour 8 times per day. About 100 days he could have 10k followers.

Sounds like a ****ty way to spend time.
