Function over style. I basically don't do winter hats. I have ear muffs a north face jacket and a cap to protect me from the cold. Kansas is really cold 3-4 months of the year and then not cold at all and we have big snowstorms so it is about survival.

i was looking at fur trapper hats and i thought, "that's smth a backwoods midwesterner probably wears. i bet bryce wears one of these out of necessity for the harsh kansas winter". but it doesn't sound like you would.
