-Full name, Age, Location, Occupation.

Davis Bowen, 26, Chapel Hill NC, Poker Player

-What you’re looking to be staked for as well as why you need a stake.

I'm not super interested in staking and don't really NEED a stake per se but I am interested in the free coaching and withdrawals and potential for playing on new sites.

-A bit about yourself. Include a bit of background info, both poker related and not.

I've been a winning but not crushing pro for 5 years. I live in a house with my girlfriend and 2 dogs and I enjoy wasting my time playing FIFA on xbox and Civ 4.

-What your poker goals are, how much time you can commit to working on your game.

Even though I am an okay winner now and have a decent thought process, I really would like to be amazing and the coaching is really probably the #1 reason that I might be interested in giving up so much winnings. I would love to be able to beat any game I sit in for 4-5 bb/100, without game selection (as it is, I can swing that usually but game select pretty well)

-Relevant graphs, stats and results. Please also explain any huge disparity between results on PTR and your graphs.

I don't have a ton of HEM stuff because I played on Poker.com (merge) and then Cake and then Merge again and they only started working with HEM like a year or two ago. Here is my lifetime Pokercharts cash game graph:

Here is my cash results since I've been using HEM (I'm including my EV graph so you can see why my Pokercharts graph is kinda flat recently):

-Biggest strength and biggest weakness in your game.

Biggest strength: Probably mental game, willingness to quit when tilting, game selection

Biggest weakness: FPS and putting people on making moves when they either aren't often doing them or aren't capable, playing the "I look so weak here" game, calling too much on river (especially raises)

-What kind of volume you intend to play per month.

I aim for 30-50k hands a month but don't usually get there. Something like 20-30k is more realistic although I don't intend on doing them all under the stake, I would still want to play at Lock etc on my own when the games are good.

-References

Don't really have any, I got coaching from revlis87 recently and I am good friends with Jason Somerville but he doesn't really know how I play and he is a tourney player anyway.

-Anything else you think is relevant.

DJO told me to say that I was referred by him, so I sort of owe it to him to say it I guess!

My screen name is bmwnick1 on all sites. I'm not much of a forum guy so this account and bmwnick1 on pocketfives are my only accounts.

I'm a 26 year old guy who lives in Omaha, Nebraska. I used to play poker for a living, primarily HU sngs and a little HU cash. I was very good, had minimal tilt issues, and kept a pretty well balanced life. I play a pretty patient style, that's a little different from how alot of people play heads up, but it works pretty well. Against good players I have to amp up the aggression a little but I'm very comfortable with my style. I played mainly $550 hu sngs, but occasionally would play up to 5k buy in. I had great game selection and didn't put in sessions when I was tired of fatigued. Since black friday, my life has obviously changed alot. I got a real job as an electrical engineer, but I still play online now and then on lock poker, as well as play at the casino on the weekends. And although I'm not putting in the hours I used to, I still feel very capable of winning in a variety of games in poker and I still feel like I've always had very good instincts. I believe my backround and history makes me a good staking candidate. I used to be one of the best heads up sit and go players on Full Tilt Poker. I used to talk to livb112 (Olivier Busquet) alot and he even mentioned me in an interview that he did.

I'm looking to be stakes in either heads up sngs, whatever level you feel comfortable with, preferable somewhere between $100 to $1k buy in. Or I can play some heads up cash, somewhere between 2/4 and 5/10 is most comfortable. I need a stake because now that I have a real job as well as money tied up on full tilt poker, I just don't have the kind of capital or means to get money online. I plan to play 10-15 hours a week which may not sound like a whole lot to some crazy grinders that play 60 hours a week, but when I was at the top of my game making over $100k a year I probably only put in 20 hours weeks of real grinding. I think I can make a good amount playing 10-15 hours a week.

Here is a link to my sharkscope graph for full tilt:

This graph shows most of my winnings, but I also had some winnings on Pacific Poker and Pokerstars. I used Hold Em Manager to track my winnings and EV, and although I know the EV calculation isn't a true representation of EV like it is in cash games, it said I consistently ran bad or I would have around 150k more in profit.

My biggest strengths in my game is my patience, game selection, and bankroll management.

My biggest weakness is sometimes against really good players I may get run over a little bit (but who doesn't, that's what makes them good players), but I'm OK with that as usually I catch them bluffing in a good spot.

My references are people that I haven't talked to in a really long time, but they can verify that I am who I am. I used to talk to Olivier Busquet (livb112), amak316, comptonmasta (David Barter), daprofessional. These are all mainly heads sng players that a fair amount of people know to be good and honest. Let me know if you need anything else, I hope to hear from you. Thanks!
