Petition: Fix The Opt-In System for Bonuses Petition: Fix The Opt-In System for Bonuses

The opt-in system is ridiculous. It does not work consistently. There is no way to have visual confirmation on your account that you have been opted in, or how far you have to go to complete a bonus.

There are not enough marketing dollars to provide all players with bonuses. But a few simple changes will save thousands of customer service man-hours dealing with calls about this issue.
  1. They absolutely need to have a listing on the app / site that says: You are currently opted in for these promotions.
  2. They absolutely need to have a status bar to show you how far along you are with each promotion.
  3. In a perfect world, it shouldn't be necessary to go to a website to opt-in. A feature that allows you to opt-in on the client app would be a huge improvement.

This issue was brought up in another thread. But just so that it doesn't get lost in the shuffle, I thought it wise to create this petition.

Please bump it or add your thoughts. Hopefully the management at WSOP will realize this is an issue that should be prioritized.

+1. all fairly reasonable requests.

considering these arent really earth shattering ideas, WSOP probably already thought of them and just decided they didnt want to do them.

everyone's best bet is probably to email WSOP habitually after they opt into something to get confirmation. once they're flooded with emails confirming an opt in status, they might get the hint and create some of these things. a confirmation email is a paper trail and thats never a bad thing to have for these types of things...

The only hope to get them to implement changes is to bring these ideas to their attention. Even when it seems obvious, it's often surprising how many similar ideas just slip through the cracks.

And I will say that applies to me too. I have literally never sent a confirmation email before. It's a great idea, fairly obvious too. But I rarely have time to do that between all the other things I have going on. The only way I would do that is if I made a habit of it, after reading it here.

Some of the promotions do need to be "opt in" though. For example this gold rush thing. Some people don't like their win/loss being public. Climb promotion from last month though, shouldn't have been opt in.

This is almost like a separate suggestion. Because I assumed that they all had to be opt-in due to the budget. I just want the opt-in to actually work, and be trackable. Right now it's unreliable / inconvenient / untrackable.

Why should the climb promotion not have been opt-in?

Why should someone opt in for the climb in promotion? What's the point of opting in? If you hit the climb limits, they should just give you the bonus money.

But yeah, I misread your post. Your suggestion def makes sense. What I'm saying in addition to it, only a select few should be opt in. Even now no everything is opt in, APP threshold bonus for example is automatic I assume.

I would think the cross section of people who play enough to be qualifying for "The Climb" promotion AND aren't informed enough to know they need to opt in would be pretty low. Usually if you are playing any significant amount, you know about what the site offers, and how to take advantage of it, so all the "opt in" does is create ill will with loyal customers when it invariably goes wrong.
