This is one of the most obvious and basic fixes ever and has been an issue for months now. When I mentioned this multiple times over months ago I was told "4 was too little because late reg gets cancelled when there are too few players, what we have it at now is just the right amount & seems to be the sweet spot". The first part is obviously true because when there's 4 players there's a glitch that closes late reg as soon as somebody busts if only 4 are still remaining in the tourney at that time but 8 is clearly NOT the 'sweet spot'.
You'd think instead of screwing this up so that the tournaments almost never run anymore(no rake $ for wsop) that they would either A. fix the glitch(cost $$ i know) or B. find a nice common medium around 6 minimum players or so(less expensive route). I understand it can be costly to make software changes for such a relatively minor issue like this, but the latter option should be a fairly simple solution which would rake them more money and should not be costly to them at all. I don't know if this is too basic for them to address or what but simply changing the minimum amount of players for a tournament to begin from 8 to 6 seems as if this would be very quick and simple thing to do and would surely increase the frequency of these tournaments running.
Also random as this has nothing to do with this topic but WSOP if you're listening I also find it extremely dumb and a poor business decision that WSOP.COM in NV does not run the MTT satellites to WSOP bracelet events year round!! These were amazing as they offered a lot of value to your online grinders to get into more of these live bracelet events for cheap. Offer these and the demand will be there and increase traffic both online and for your bracelet events! They are very popular and that is 2 more times over you would get to rake your players money and this could easily be implemented and if for some reason were to fail could be pulled.
