Hi

Villain : LAG , can 3bet with some weaker hand than my hand
Hero: probably seem has a TAG .

Troughout the hand, no flush possibilities are possible
Hero hand ATo

Hero openraise HJ , villain ( on Button) 3 bet , Hero call.

HU pot 7sb

Flop KJ5 r

Hero check, Villain bet , Hero ?

I am torn between c/r the flop and barrel off or just going c/c ui al the way since a small portion of his hands might be weaker than mine.

Problems:

- i am not sure he would barrel off weaker hands or would he fold a better hand on the river like 88,99 AQ if i c/r flop and barrel off.

- i got a lot off better draw i could c/r here and maybe by putting AT in my range i would semi bluff too much .

Toughts ?

This. You should have enough better candidates for check-raise bluffing on the flop in your range. Though it depends on the size of your preflop ranges (do you open QTo here?) and it also depends on the size of your flop value XR range (do you wait till the turn with some strong hands? what's the weakest hand you check-raise here for value?).

FWIW, I'm probably not calling this down unimproved, unless I have a read, that Villain have a really wide preflop 3bet range and 3barrels a lot.

The thing is that against ~ 15% 3bet range, all A-highs < AT have 20% or less equity on this particular flop. So ATo is actually the weakest A-high I'm calling on the flop against a good reg. As far as Q,T,9,8-high hands goes, I'm either bluffing them on the flop or turn or I'm folding them on the flop. So taking my whole range into account, AT is probably the absolute bottom of my XC XC range. Therefore if I'm not folding AT on the river, I don't have any fold range there at all and that doesn't seem right.

Also, thanks to the card removal effect, you having AT actually reduces the number combos of most obvious triple barrel bluffs in Villain's range, such as JT, QT, T9. So it may even be the case, that calling Villain's river bet with something like A5ui (assuming you somehow get there with this hand) would be more profitable than calling his bet with ATui.

Now, if Villain is really loose and 3bets around 20% - 25% preflop, some weaker A-highs becomes peelable on the flop (also AT beats much more hands from Villain's range). This might turn AT into calldown, though I still don't like the fact, that AT reduces the number of straight draws in Villain's range.
