Re: Peel flop K9 high?

I would peel. BTN can be raising very, very wide here with the dead money in there, especially with the poster indicating a week hand by only checking.. I don't think I'm ballsy enough to raise pre and barrel them off in a bigger pot, but it would be fun.

decent c/r with lots of barreling cards depending on response. 8,9 K club, straight cards.

Re: Peel flop K9 high?

I'll be c/ring so many draws there already, and I'm ahead of BTN some of the time, so I didn't like the c/r.

I peel the flop, unless the poster has an unusually high post flop aggression factor, which is pretty rare in my experiences.

I also don't like a flop C/R.

Re: Peel flop K9 high?

peel flop. a flop raise to force out UTG may be ok also. idk

donk any 9 if its 3way on the turn. MP will check back to often otherwise. maybe donking a 7 could work out as well. c/r any K.

If we know UTG will fold a lot of hands facing a 3-bet, I think this is good. If he doesn't, I think we just put ourselves in a pretty awkward spot with a marginal hand in a big pot out of position.

Re: Peel flop K9 high?

I had missed that limper was a poster. I actually like a 3 bet as well, but I would just call K7.

If limper was a limper we only have 11% on this flop, which was less than I thought.

That number seems low. I just ran a few stoves myself to confirm and I'm coming in around 16-17% equity on the flop.

Crucially, he is a limper that checked, rather than a limper that raised. This would make a difference to the equity. Still, it ought to improve our equity not worsen it. Its very player dependent, of course.

I don't understand your post, how can a limper ever check or raise?

If your referring to a poster, I think that changes the entire dynamic of the hand and we should just 3-bet preflop. My comments on the hand are about a limper specifically.

Yes, I meant poster. If you go back and look at the opening post, you will see that UTG posts. Its a very important detail!
