the total rake paid at low limits is 2.4 BB/100 hands not the rakeback.

I have read (and calculated) that platin is like 22-23% RB and supernova is about 27%
Is that all the bump you get from Platinum to Supernova? Weak - guess I won't hurry to Supernova...

It should be more than a 4-5% increase. In fact, I almost guarantee it is. First of all, you get a better bonus once you hit supernova. Secondly, you earn FPPs 28% faster (4.5/3.5 = 1.28). So if "rakeback" at platinum were 22%, "rakeback" at supernova would be 28%, which is already a 6% increase. On top of that, each FPP is worth more at supernova, so you're probably looking at a 7-8% difference between the two levels.

Does it piss you guys off that you have to play a whole bunch more hands to clear your bonuses that you've earned? The first time I saw that, I was like, "wtf?!". Annoying... I guess it's no big deal to you guys that play 100k hands per month, but at 20k hands per month, it sucks.

Re: ***Official Stars Regs Thread***

Stars has the lowest rake on the internet. Looking at PT, I pay 9.7 cents per hand at 6-max, and 7.1 cents per hand at Full Ring.

I am Supernova, and at 2/4 6-max I earn about 2.75 cents per dealt hand using the bonuses you can purchase with FPP's. This works out to between 25-38% RB at 2/4 depending on the average pot sizes, and whether you play 6-max or full ring.

Yes other sites with rakeback have possibly higher earn rate per hour with their higher rake, but the table selection is much worse.

Can someone else comment on this? I didn't think clearing these took very many hands. Either way the points you earn while clearing still generate more FPPs, so it's not a problem.

Now a change of topics because this is kind of lame.

This hand right here demonstrates Poker Stars play bad get there software at its finest.

PokerStars 5/10 Hold'em (4 handed) internettexasholdem.com

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q, J.
1 fold, Button raises, Hero 3-bets, 1 fold, Button caps, Hero calls.

Flop: (9 SB) 9, 3, 8 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (5.50 BB) T (2 players)
Hero bets, Button raises, Hero 3-bets, Button caps, Hero calls.

River: (13.50 BB) Q (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets, Hero raises, Button 3-bets, Hero caps, Button calls.

Final Pot: 21.50 BB

Results in white below:
Button has Jc As (straight, queen high).
Hero has Qd Jh (straight, queen high).
Outcome: Button wins 10.75 BB. Hero wins 10.75 BB.

Also, if any of you played with me on 4/10/2007 or 4/11/2007 and saw anything bad, please let me know. I played my best and lost another 60bb.

While I can easily accept the critique that I have a tendency towards FPS (it's how I tilt, apparently), I only have about 450 hands on you. I haven't figured out a way to sort "only my hands that where you were dealt in" so I can't get a good picture of how you and I have played against each other, but looking at the first 30 or so hands where you went to showdown (and I therefore know your hole cards) it's clear that you're calling me down very light. I'm guessing I must have done a lot of something during these 450 hands to warrant that, but I'm not so sure what.

I'd like to know though; especially if it's something I still do. My note on you suggests that you should be value bet on the river.

Cheers,
FP

God, I feel the sameway - I'm still chafing from the 30 BB pot I lost to a guy who capped QT pf/flop/turn with no pair/no draw against AA and hit running tens...I'm running like .25 bb/100 over my last 10k and it would be frustrating if I weren't basically playing on a freeroll right now...

Have you guys played vs. pookguy at all? I've found him to be a pain in the ass.
Definite pain in the ass, tad overag imo.

Here's a hand where I'm reluctant to take more initiative as I feel he will correctly fold a lot and probably bet the river a lot but it still seems a bit weak. His W$SH is 48% but only 600 hands.

pookguy open-raises button, I 3 bet AA from SB, BB folds, pookguy calls.

Flop: 853 rainbow

I bet he calls.

Turn: 8

I bet he raises, I call

River: 7

I check-call wondering if I should check-raise.

Ysscky, I played you recently, just for curiosity's sake (I knew it was dumb) and you tossed me around like a ragdoll. Thanks a lot, creep-o.

-Brass

P.S. - Kid Canepa, you smooshed me, too, but ysscky's recent post makes me think I didn't approach things right.
