04-13-2008 , 06:52 PM
here's how to have a high wr like Quality19XX:

PokerStars 10/20 Hold'em (5 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8, 4.
3 folds, SB =#A500AF(Quality19xx)/ raises, Hero calls.

Flop: (4 SB) 9, T, 4 (2 players)
Quality19xx bets, Hero raises, Quality19xx calls.

Turn: (4 BB) T (2 players)
Quality19xx checks, Hero bets, Quality19xx calls.

River: (6 BB) 2 (2 players)
Quality19xx checks, Hero bets, Quality19xx calls.

Final Pot: 8 BB

Results:
Quality19xx (small blind) mucked [5d 6d]
Hero has 8s 4s (two pair, tens and fours).
Outcome: Hero wins 8 BB.

you easily have 53 there one time in 7, not to mention the extra equity from the times you have 56 and chop

wtf is up with "thehoffa"
he plays multitables mostly 2/4
after 10k hands he ist running at 6 BB/100 hands and vpip 45, pfr 30.

he seems like to always hit and never spew.
I thought I can take his money easily but now I think that his lucky streak will last longer than my bankroll
04-14-2008 , 06:25 AM
hoffa has huge swings but to say he never spews is like saying he isnt playing 42/28 game

example:
Poker Stars $2/$4 Limit Hold'em - 6 players
2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked

Flop: (8 SB) K T 6 (2 players)

Turn: (5 BB) A (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB raises, Hero 3-bets, SB caps!, Hero calls

River: (13 BB) 9 (2 players)

Spoiler:
Final Pot: 19 BB
Hero shows Kc Ks (three of a kind, Kings)
SB shows 9c 9s (three of a kind, Nines)
Hero wins 18.25 BB
(Rake: $3.00)

Even seeing this hand, I bet he can beat that level with 42/28.

If Stars started running a weekly $200+15 6-max LHE donkament, would you play it regularly? I think I would, and I think it would be kind of fun since the buy-in amount is pretty small for anyone playing 5/10+.

They run a weekly LHE $215 but it's full ring and only gets maybe 70-80 players a week. I'm thinking of writing Stars to ask about putting this in. If you like this idea, write to support@pokerstars.com and say so.

he probably does beat the level in any db, and i think i played that hand very much nonstandard and in retrospect, quite badly. yes, he can have QJ or AA there, but that does not explain wtf he is doing on the turn of this hand in particular. he is always capping turn with AcQc/AcJc, any flush draw, top pair with gs, set, and more than obviously any crap he thinks will get me to fold. and its quite a standard line for him against some taggy guy that didnt cap preflop and just raised on btn.

anyways, i defend my non pf cap and non r/ flop by saying it would define my hand too much and i see him folding most anything on the turn. if theres anyone this works like a charm on, its this guy

or maybe i was just pisst off at that time and i made a stupid slowplay. blech. flame away
04-14-2008 , 01:18 PM
I think the pf call is great against a guy like this once the other guy folds. If he doesn't spew post-flop then he's probably trying to read hands. He's counting on you playing your big hands straight forwardly. I would have raised the flop though after mis-representing my hand. I don't mind the way you played this though.

Great name: JLlama, for it's simplicity and rare trivia related to it. the J in JDalla stands for Jake, my first name. But in JLlama, the J ACTUALLY stands for JOLLY, as my nickname in 6th grade and part of 11th grade was "Jolly Llama."

a rich history to be sure.

bad name: nWooch, keep those freakin gnomes out of my dreams.
04-15-2008 , 11:18 PM
Nwooch is to sssh Stars tagregs as Roy Cooke is to local Vegas nits. Fwiw udontnocards is the best stars sn imo.
