I just got my RSA token from Stars. For anyone who doesn't have it, get it.

- It's this tiny little piece of plastic with an LCD screen that shows numbers. Every 45 seconds it generates a new number. That's it. You can't turn it on, off, or tell it to stop generating numbers. This is all it does. When you log in you just type in the current numbers on the screen. It's unlimited logins

-It comes with 25 one-time-use logins printed on a sheet of paper, so if you're traveling just bring both and that way if something happens you aren't SOL until it gets resolved.

Real easy.

u were like the last person to get it
12-21-2010 , 04:14 PM
3 years is a mighty short time

Just hit 600k VPPs. Time to chilax imo.
12-21-2010 , 04:24 PM
i don't have one... is account hacking a serious problem, like happened to you guys? Or is it just the attitude of better safe than sorry since your account is your livelihood?

I don't get how the numbers on the RSA token are communicated to the stars client. do you plug the token into your usb port or something? if you don't does the stars client know what the generated number on your token is?

don't worry i took a look at your password and it is quite strong imo

k thanx.

The stars servers know what number is on your RSA token at all times. The token is just a random number generator, so the stars servers probably just need to know the unique seed number of your token and the current time.
12-21-2010 , 04:35 PM
interesting. so it is essentially random to anyone who looks at it but it isn't random to stars. very cool.

i feel much safer with my token

problem is now i have a ps token, a ftp token, a moneybookers token and a bank account token

Serious question about this fun hand - why didn't you raise the flop? I am staring at this drawy flop and can not think of a reason not to fastplay your hand in 3 way capped flop
12-21-2010 , 06:58 PM
at first look of that hand I was like "lol he spewed an underpair." but then I realized "LOL he showed down playing the board!"

Same here + I'm waiting for Neteller to release one :P

Raise vs. call is close but this time I called. It's sort of WAWB, but much more complicated because of the third player who was a massive fish. Board certainly is pretty dry though.

I assume he is the same as the one on FTP?

I only have 400 hands on him, so nothing much (on FTP that is)
