With apologies if this is the wrong place... It used to be the right place.

I used to play quite a bit, 6-max up to $15/30 online, until around 2010. For various reasons I have not played very much at all for a few years. I am messing around a little on Stars in smaller stakes games ($1/2 for now) and not managing to win. Actually, my graph goes straight down. Clearly I play bad. But also, some real questions:

1. are the games full of bots these days or are there real people?
2. the rake at $1/2 seems to come in just under 3BB/100 --- does anyone beat the game long term before the various VIP rewards etc? That seems a lot to overcome.
3. what else did I miss in the intervening five years? Where can I go to start retooling my game now that this forum is, err... quiet.

There's guys you probably used to play with (ex SNE's) grinding 0.25/0.50 for rakeback now, it's quite sad really.

Stars still take a hard line on bots afaik.

People don't really share strategy on forums anymore, Philip Newall write 2 good books on LHE though.
