You obviously were on a sick heater.

if i owned pokerstars I'd sit behind an array of monitors watching people playing 1/2 LHE HUHU while I smoked a cigar and laughed my ass off
12-09-2009 , 05:39 PM
i honestly don't understand why the **** they charge such high rake at small stakes huhu, i mean it probably has some theoretical cost for them to run those tables but it can't possibly be anywhere near so high.. wouldn't it be better for them to make them beatable and have more people play them?
12-09-2009 , 06:08 PM
people that play 1/2 HUHU are generally too stupid to realize that they're getting butt****ed by the long **** of the rake

so they'll play them anyway

/has 1 session of 1/2 HUHU on his PTR :/

fyp
but they still created a beatable rake schedule for 6m and fr

What I never understood is the need for people to say HUHU. I'm pretty much always gonna be able to tell what you mean from context. It's like saying "I have two nines" vs "I have nines."

No one is ever going to think "maybe he's saying it's impossible to beat the rake if you're in a heads up pot, after the flop, in 6m." A statement like: "I like to play HU" is pretty obvious imo.

it probably has it's own story, why they started calling it HUHU
in NL they just call it HU afaik so this is some LHE thing

it irritates me more when people refer to dealt-pairs as "pocket ____" or "wired ____"

maybe i'll just start saying "I was dealt pocket king-jack offsuit"

What's even worse than that is when they say "I have 2 pairs" when one of the pairs is on the board.

It does.

What I'm saying is that there's no need to say huhu because people can figure out what you mean by context like 95% of the time.

It actually meant something when stud was the more popular game, and you could be dealt a pair split or wired. What really makes my skin crawl is when people just say they have "pockets". Not very many things just make me want to punch someone, but that's up there.

id read it if u posted all the things that would make u punch someone in the face gb

Yeah this use to bug the crap out of me when I played live, though it was usually fish that always used the term. I had the sn PocketPictures for awhile on a different site. Another thing live that kills me is when the you bet the river as the first actor and the fish says "re-raise!" It's like it adds insult to injury when you lose a pot to a guy who can't even call the action right. If I am bluff-raising the river in a game Ive never played in before and its early in the session, I always say "re-raise!" because thats like always the nuts.

HUHU is HU on a table with 2 seats instead of a table with 6 seats and 4 seats open, or when pot gets HU in regular play, which would be HU. amirite?

I just took a look at my lifetime bb/100 graph, and noticed that i had an 80,000 hand breakeven stretch, and I'm a winning player.

Even sicker, i just saw i had a 120k breakeven stretch from point to point because of a harsh downswing last month.

This game is awesome.

If you are a 1BB/100 winner this should be standard. AIR?
